charlie and cher told the news to us at dinner, james and I were excited. "ok well i'm going to look for wedding dresses tomorrow, just to see some different styles." cher said, "harper wanna come with?" I thought for a moment.

my dream came true- going shopping in a store filled with poofy wedding dresses, and even worse. sparkles.

But then I looked at cher and she had a begging face on, i guess i will since mama can't- and that was cher's dream: to go bridal shopping and planning. very different from me, we are so opposite.

"yeah i'll go tomorrow." I said finally, cher squealed then gave me a hug. "ok ok chill, but i am not, NOT trying on any dresses." I said making the NOT clear, "you got me?" she nodded.

even though cher WAS still gonna make me probably try on dresses, it made her happy so i guess. this will only happen once in a lifetime though.

cher and i were cleaning up the kitchen while charlie took james to ice cream.

"if you want jess could come with us." cher said, "nah i will spend some time with my sista." I said. cher was shocked, "you sure?" she said. i'm prolly gonna get annoyed with cher tomorrow but it's fine. "yep." I said, then i saw benny walking up to the front door.

"I got it!" cher yelled opening the door for him. "heyy rodriguez." she said in a happy mood. Benny looked so confused, to be honest this is my first time in awhile seeing cher excited.

"you ok charlotte?" benny asked, I laughed. "no shes's gone crazy." i said. cher rolled her eyes and showed benny the small rock that was on her left hand. "oh it's about damn time." he said and cher laughed. "it only took him what- 5 years?" benny said, "oh fuck off Benny." He laughed, "don't worry cher is still in there" I said dragging Benny upstairs.

We laid on my bed for awhile just talking about school and amber, the brat.
"Let's go somewhere." I said, "what?" He said as I pulled him back downstairs quietly.
Cher was sleepin on the couch so we had to be extra quiet.

We finally got outside, "let's go." I said putting my stake board on the floor and Benny followed on his.
We stayed around town and talked about a lot of different topics.
"Babe you wanna get ice cream?" Benny asked, "sure." I said stopping in front of the parlor.

"Oh shit. That's Charlie and James." I said forgetting that they came here about 10 minutes ago.
"It's ok, they won't tell cher." Benny said as we walked in line, I looked around and accidentally made eye-contact with Charlie. Oh crap. "Harper what are you doing here?" Charlie asked me in a calm tone, "um Benny took me here?" I said.
"Oh no I did not think of this, Harper dragged me here." Benny said putting his hands up,
"thanks such a great boyfriend." I said, Charlie laughed. "It's ok have fun, be home soon." He said before standing up and leaving with James.

Wait he wasn't mad. Hmm he's alright, you know for somewhat of a father figure.

Benny and I ate our ice cream then headed back home.
"Benny?" "Yeah babe?" He said looking forward, not falling off his board. Then there's me, too busy staring at the hottest guy in town aka my boyfriend. I guess I was staring for too long because I fell off my skateboard, i tripped on the uneven sidewalk. "Woah easy there babe." Benny said giving me a hand. "Whoops." I said shrugging it off, then looking at my knees. There was some blood running down my shin, speaking of my shin- for some reason it like hurt badly right now. It's prolly nothing, just sore from baseball.

"You really won't give that leg a break?" He said putting his shoulder around me, "Hey I'm fine. Don't worry bout me." I said giving him a reassuring smile. I noticed that walk took us more like an hour than 30 minutes.
"Ok well im about to be killed by Cher so wish me luck." I said walking towards my driveway, "love you Benny."
"Haha cher would never do that. Love you more harper." He said giving me a kiss, "yes she would." I said then went inside with a big smile on my face, man every time he kisses me- just like that 4th of July night.

Cher had woken up I guess, well I knew because she was yelling at me.
"Harper where were you? You know what time it is?" She questioned me, I rolled my eyes.
"Benny and I got ice cream downtown, and yes I do. It's about 11:30." I said being sarcastic, which she didn't like.
"Ok smart ass your grounded, no sandlot for a week." Cher said,
"you can't do that. We are playing Phillips team literally in 2 days." I pleaded, "cmon I'm literally a senior!"

"I guess you can go to the sandlot, you were gonna go either way. But tomorrow you are still coming with me." Cher said, I groaned. Damn I thought she would forget.

"Whatever. Night." I said laying in bed, then quickly falling asleep.
