Because of school, depression in children and teens can be extremely difficult. Bullying, insecurity, and body dysmorphia are some of the problems that people face at school. It is quite difficult for someone to come to a place every day and be bullied by the same people. This can lead to depression, which is difficult to overcome. Teenagers may look down on themselves and believe that they are bothering the world if they seek help for depression. This shows that schools should discuss depression for these reasons since the information in a child's or teen's thoughts can be helpful.

In today's world, children might be bullied for several reasons, including acne, being overweight, physical appearance, social status, poor, not having the latest shows, and many others. Every day, children and teens attempt to enhance themselves to become the ideal person. Some children and teens reach a point when they wish to die because they are unable to change themselves in the way that everyone else does. Having all of these influences can lead to depression and severely harm a child's mental health.

The age group 15-29 has the highest rate of self-harm every year. Self-harm and suicide are rising year after year as a result of social media apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter. These apps have games that encourage depressed people to attempt suicide, such as the blue whale challenge, which has resulted in the deaths of over 130 children and teens. The blue whale challenge consists of giving people multiple tasks that harm themselves. The last task is to go to a building and jump! The people who tell these people to do these things tell them not to tell anyone,  or they will harm their families (Baruah, 2017). Depression is starting to rise with these apps also by getting people to talk about their experiences and try to comfort people who have self-harm. While on the internet you can get both sides. You can get cyberbullied and get death threats, but if you're on the good side of the internet, you can motivate yourself to try to stay alive and live in peace.
