Tate

I stare at the open book in front of me, struggling to concentrate of the mass of jumbled words that engulf the page. No matter what I do I can't seem to calm my busy mind. It keeps on wandering off back to the thought of Violet, my sweet beautiful Violet.

It's been four days since I have last spoken to her or laid my eyes on her pretty face, but that was five days ago. Since my little talk with Michael, I haven't been mentally or physically prepared to talk to any of them.

I just can't seem to make up my mind about what to do with the both of them.

For example, do I tell Violet that Michael is her half brother and carries my DNA?

She could freak out and refuse to speak to both Michael and I. Losing Violet again for a stupid little thing like that just seems ridiculous and it would shatter me into thousands of tiny shards.

But if I don't tell her the truth about Michael then he might tell her  and make it obvious that I've been lying and hiding things from her.  Then my dearest Violet will be truly pissed off at me. Things will go back to how they were before, she will deny my entire existence and avoid me like the bubonic plague. The thought of that happening again makes me sick to the stomach.

These are the types of debates I've been having with myself for the past couple of days, and no matter how much I try to distract myself, it never seems to work.

I know I need to do something and do it quickly . I know that Michael is getting  friendly with Violet and who knows how long it would be before he opens up the massive can of flesh-eating worms.

I heard there was some commotion in the house a day ago. Something about Violet and Hayden having another argument. It's really quite ridiculous how that little bitch prances around like she owns this house and like she's better than everyone else in this hellhole.

She's a fucking slut though and yet she thinks all the men in this house wants have sex with her. Which is a total lie because she is a scheming, manipulating little she whore who treats everyone as if she can wrap them around her pretty little finger.

That's why I really love my dear sweet Violet. She's modest and kind, but also extremely sarcastic and I really admire that in her. She could quite happily sit there in silence because she has nothing worthy to be talking about.

I love the way that her mousy brown hair sometimes covers her left eye when she's deep in thought and how she's too busy daydreaming to notice it was blocking her vision.

I love  fact that she knew about my past and about all murders I had committed over the years and yet she still chose to stay with me and love me. Violet is attracted to the darkness you see, anything dark and creepy that would completely terrify anyone else makes her fascinated and obsessed to learn more about it.

I know now.

I know what I have to do.

I have no choice but to tell Violet that Michael is her half brother and my ... My biological son.

I can't lose her.

Not again, not after last time.

This time if she decides to give me another chance I will be a model boyfriend. I'll buy her cute gifts on Halloween and tell her daily how much she means to me and how much I love her . I'll treat her like the amazing woman she is and I promise that this time I won't hurt her.

But before all of that,  I need her to forgive me . I've also got to get the Michael situation under control before I can get my Vi back.

Taking a deep breath in as I noticed that my breathing had got heavier and my heart began to race at the thought of seeing Violet again and having to drop this earth shattering news to her.

"Calm down Tate" I whisper under my breath to myself.

Running my fingers roughly through my sandy blond hair I try to mentally prepare myself for my encounter with Violet.

Taking another deep breath I decided that there is no better time than the present. So it's time to confront my fears and to speak to my dear darling Violet about the whole Micheal situation.

Rolling of the side of the bed I hear my feet land on the carpet and the soft creeks of the floorboards as the pads of my feet gently make their way out of the room ,down the hallway and find themselves outside Violet doors.

I can hear the faint and hollow sounds of Morrissey radiating from Violet's room and my heart begins to race again and I can feel my hands grow sweaty as I reach my hand up and knock on the wooden door.

"Come in" Violet's sweet voice becomes me in as I slowly push the door open.
