Tate

It's been weeks since I last spoke to Violet.  I mean whats taking her so long to make a decision.

She has to forgive me, right?

I don't mind waiting for an answer. I can wait as long as it takes. I have an eternity of time on my hands and I might as well spend it doing something worthwhile.

It's her answer that scares me.

She's all I want. She's all I need. I can't cope without her.

I need to speak to Violet. I need her to understand how much she means to me.

I don't want to scare her though. I don't want her to think I'm a needy pathetic waste of time.

She makes me want to be a better man and without her, I feel like my whole soul has been ripped apart.

Walking through the house I see Vivian and Travis sitting close together, talking in hushed tones.

I wonder what's going on there?

Oh well, I'll investigate that later right now I have bigger issues to deal with, like trying to scoop out the new owner of this house.

I haven't met him yet but I'm pretty sure he is an asshole just by the pure fact he has been seen talking to Violet. I swear if he steals Violet away from me, I will make him suffer. I don't care how much I've changed, I will go back to being that monster I used to be if I  can get my Violet back from that dick.

OK, Tate, you need to calm yourself down.

Deep breaths.

1,2,3

No one is going to steal Violet away from you.

4,5,6

She loves you really. You love her.

7,8,9

Everything will work out just fine.

10.

Walking past the creaky floorboard of Violet's old room I see her lying face down on the bed drawing.

" Whats up Vi"
She turns her head from the paper little stray strands of hair sticking up in all directions.

"Nothing  much Tate"
She turns her head back towards her 'artwork' and continues to draw.

She actually acknowledged my presence. The love of my life actually talked to me.

God, I love the way she says my name. Or the way she looks at me when I'm talking.

If you told me a year ago that Violet would actually talk to me I would have punched you in the face for winding me up.

Is this real...I'm I actually real?

Could this be a dream?

Wait I'm dead I don't dream!

This has to be real right.

" Tate are you just gonna stand there like some creepy bastard or are you going to come in and talk to me"

This is real.
This is actually happing.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.

Keep it cool Tate. Keep it cool.

"Yeah sure."

Taking three nervous strides into the room I approach Violet who is lying on the bed and sit down with my legs folded on the floor.

Oh, how I missed talking to her like this.

"I um... I still haven't made a decision yet"

I can't say I'm not disappointed, but considering all the mistakes I've made in the past I can't say I'm not surprised.  She can have all the time in the world to decide how she feels about me, but at least now I might have a chance of spending time with her and reminding her why she loved me in the first place, and how perfect we are together.

I need to take this one step at a time. I must not to get ahead of myself, and do anything to scare her away.

"That's fine. As long as we can still hang out"

Say yes. Say yes. Please don't destroy all of my hopes...God, I sound so pathetic right now.

"Yeah sure, Tate. I miss just hanging"

Violet missed not hanging out with me.
That means she missed me.
Which means she still does love me.

I am going to win her back... Eventually.
