Chapter 7- Violet

I saw mum and dad arguing about something in the kitchen and they both looked as if they were going to kill someone.

I walked through the door and when they noticed me the shouting stopped and out came the award-winning fake cheesy smiles.

"Mum, Dad. Care to tell me what all the shouting was about." I turned and said to them.

Mum and dad turned and looked at each other and remained silent.

I HATE it when they treat me as a child and hold the truth back away from me because they don't think I can handle it.

Dad gave mum one of his questioning looks and mum turned around as if she was about to tell me something.

Great! , hopefully, I'll finally be given the truth from my parents and treated like a proper adult for once.

"Your father has heard some unsettling news today from one of the ghosts he was treating the other day", mum calmly said to me.

Okay, that was not what I thought she would say I just thought her and Dad were just in another shouting match, it must be something serious for them to be arguing about.

" The ghost had told us that they had a feeling that Hayden wad plotting another one of her schemes that is intended to ruin our family.", Dad calmly said.

Arhhh why is Hayden always plotting evil schemes, the last 20 years have been super quiet and hassle free yet now all the shit gets thrown at the fan.

I wonder what Dad ever saw in Hayden anyway she is a cunning evil manipulative woman who always wants everything to go her way. Not to forget that she is fucked up in the head.

"Wait. Who told you this information and do we know that there not working for that bitch Hayden?." And that's when Mum and Dad turn absolutely silent.

So that's what they must have been arguing about, the source of this concerning information is the reason why they were having a screaming match just a few moments ago.

They still don't trust me enough to tell me the truth that's all I ask of them. I'm fed up of then treating me like a child because I'm an adult and want to be seen as one.

"Fine don't tell me, but I don't want to speak to any of you or even look at you until you realise I'm not a child and that I don't appreciate being treated like one",  I said and disappeared before their very eyes.

I am so angry you can't even imagine how pissed off I am. It's absolute bullshit how they still treat me like a little kid. I might as well open up one of my birthday cigarettes and let that shit burn.
