The next day, I couldn't stop smiling. He had taken me home the night before, right after the party, and said goodnight by kissing me again, and again, and then one last time, before I closed the door of my apartment.
«I love him» I exclaimed to Aidy and Kate, who were sitting on the couch, still a little bit sleepy.
«I'm all in for this, but you need to relax, cause you literally just met him two weeks ago» Kate reminded me, snapping me back to reality.
«You're right. I'm just gonna stop thinking about him and everything will be great. By the way, how did you call him?»
«Ya left his number on your desk.»
«Shoot.»Even though I was trying not to, I kept talking about him. It was impossible for me to forget about him, his lips, his body, his mustache, his beautiful eyes.
«We lost her. She's gone.»
Kate got up and sat on my desk, while I took her place.
«Uhhh, what's this you've been working on?» she said, seeing some files open on my computer.
«Just some sketches, but nothing serious. I don't really like them.»
«I think they're fire, you should totally pitch them tomorrow.»
«We'll see.»Aidy was weirdly silent that day, as she wasn't joking around or making small talk with the others, but when I asked her if everything was okay, she said that she was fine, then left.
«Is she okay?»
«Probably just her period, but we'll never know» she shrugged her shoulders. «I've got a date tonight, so- which one?»She showed me two pictures of her wearing a suit, and I chose the second one, in which she was wrapped in a beautiful striped suit, with a pair of glasses.
«Who's the lucky gal?» I joked around.
«Some woman I met last night coming back home. By the way, when's your mustache guy taking you out?»
«Tonight, for dinner.»
«Well, good luck.»
«You too.»We shook hands jokingly and resumed our conversation.
«Good morning ladies. Have you seen Aidy?» Conner asked, after having knocked on the door multiple times.
«She left five minutes ago. She seemed kind of off.»
«Thought so. Thank you.»And just like that, he disappeared.
«He seemed worried» I pointed out.
«Maybe they argued last night, or something like that. Either way, let's leave them to their problems cause you and I have got to talk.»
«Sure, what is it?»
«Are you still thinking about leaving?» she asked, sitting beside me on the couch, since the spot was open.
«Uh... I don't know. I might, but I honestly haven't thought about it that much.»She sighed and sunk into the thousands of pillows in which she was surrounded.
«That's good... very good. Take your time, do your things, but please don't rush into anything. Not even with mustache guy.»
«Kate, are you okay? Now you seem weird, too.»
«I'm fine, I've got to... go to work.»Suddenly she got up, and she nervously walked out of my office, mumbling something under her breath, leaving me alone in the room, which now seemed empty.
I shook my head and tried not to think about how weirdly my friends were acting, and got to work myself.
That afternoon, as soon as I got home I took a shower, I changed into a sweater and a pair of dark jeans, put on some heels and was ready to go.
I went down to the hall, and I felt calm and agitated at the same time. I had been with him before and I knew that I liked him, but at the same time I felt like a teenager all over again. There was something in him, he was different from all the other guys I had dated.

Fanfiction«So... how is he?» Owen asked me, when we got a moment alone and away from all the chaos. «He's so sweet. I think I'm falling in love with him, honestly» I answered, smiling, with a cup of tea in my hand. «Good for you! Now, promise me that if I'm...
