[part thirteen] chapter fifty two - the man of my dreams

"Quick, give me your shirt." Vantae tugs at the material as soon as his eyes catch onto the phone lighting up on the table in the space between them.

Taehyung shrugs him off. "What? No. Why?"

His twin holds up the device to point out the message and who sent it. "I wanna FaceTime him," he voices with a pout, causing Yoongi to look over and assess the situation.

Upon doing so, he frowns. "Do you really think that's a good idea, V?"

Vantae sighs. "I don't know, but I'm Kookie-starved."

Jimin returns from the counter with dessert just in time to hear this. He smiles and offers V a cookie, to which the other grins and pinches one of Jimin's cheeks fondly as he pulls him down next to him and lets him see the text on his lock screen too.

Taehyung's best friend flushes. "Oh, you meant–"

Tae snorts, and Yoongi can't seem to pull his eyes away from Jimin's slightly embarrassed smile. This is starting to become concerning.

"Can I at least text him back?" Vantae asks as he rests his head on his shoulder, pleading eyes looking up into Taehyung's.

He sways his head disbelievingly at his hyungie. "You really don't need to ask, Tiger," he assures him, hand finding his brother's hair and massaging his scalp. "I could never stop you from doing so."

The beam that he gets in response could probably make flowers grow.

The slight scowl on his face now, however, could probably wither them in a second.

The tight grip on the phone at this point is downright concerning though.

The photo of Taehyung and Namjoon that Tae accidentally posted on V's private Twitter account earlier catches his eye now, and he shifts a bit so that he can read the messages as well as Vantae texts Jeongguk back with a puzzled frown.

Taehyung blinks in confusion as he tries to process whatever the hell he just took in, and he vaguely hears his brother call out a, "Hey, Namu-hyung?"

"Yeah, V?"

"Ifyou'resecretlyRMsaywhat," he mumbles in reply.

Namjoon frowns a bit, not understanding. "What?"

"Oh my God," the twins gasp out simultaneously, looking over at him with wide eyes.
