[part fourteen] chapter fifty four - allegations

"You know, this explains why you always got so weird when any of us played RM's songs," Taehyung muses as he grasps Namjoon's other arm and snuggles into his side contentedly. "I knew I couldn't be friends with someone so tasteless."

"It also explains why I always thought you and RM looked similar, but I honestly never would have considered that you're the same person," Jimin voices reflectively. "Plus, I always thought that he lived in Korea."

Namjoon slightly smiles. "Well, he did. I did, Jimin-ah. Just didn't think to rap about me moving halfway across the world to go to school, you know? ... Though, I probably could have, now that I do think about it."

"Why didn't you tell us, hyung?" Taehyung wonders, and he's really only inquisitive. Neither of them are upset at this discovery. If anything, their Joon-hyung simply became six hundred and thirteen times cooler than they all already thought he was.

"For the drama, mostly," is the response that he gets.

"Fair," Jimin backs him up.

Vantae snorts from Namjoon's other side. "Speaking of drama, Kookie's really blowing up my phone with messages telling me to tell you to answer yours," he informs the elder.

"Why would he be doing that?" Hoseok asks.

"RM and Jungkook-ah are online friends," Yoongi fills in. "They're really close. He probably feels doubly betrayed right now."

Namjoon struggles to reach for his phone with the twins still hanging onto him like leeches. When he finally has it in his grip, he reads aloud, "If you did a face reveal, the world would be so gagged," he pauses. "All caps."

"Also fair," Jimin agrees easily once more.

"Or he's thirsting over you after every other breath like always," Yoongi sighs, disappointed but not surprised. "That really should have been my first guess."

"I don't know. It's an odd mixture of both that only Kook can pull off, actually." Namjoon looks fond as he reads over the barrage of messages. "And don't worry, V. I'll be sure to tell him that you really had no idea."
