Dustin

I had just done one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. But some one had to do it. Mr. Munson loved Eddie and wasn't going to give up looking for his nephew. I felt like I had torn the guys heart out.

Hobbling over to Steve, I sighed, patting my back he asked if I was ok.
"No I feel terrible. I feel like I broke his heart."
"It had to be done. What did you tell him? Did he believe you?" He asks.

"Close to the truth as I could. That I was with Eddie when the earthquake happen. I didn't really expand to much."

"It's for the best." He says patting my back again before going back to folding the pile of clothes.
Hearing the double doors slam open catches the attention of the whole gym, standing in the doorway was a dark haired girl in a leather jacket. She scanned the gym slowly, she looked to be on a mission. Setting her eyes on someone she marches forward. Walking right up to Mr. Munson and says something urgently. Instead of his normal defensive demeanor he had taken on lately, he was warm towards the girl, pulling her into a hug.
"Who's that?" I ask Steve, but he just shrugs not even bothering to look up at the person in question.
"She is talking to Mr. munson." Steve finally looks up.
"She looks familiar. But I'm not sure." He says trying to get a better look at her.

Pulling away from the hug she asks her urgent question again. He guides her to a chair.
Over the next several minutes her face goes threw many different emotions. Finally she stands up, I can't quite figure out what look is on her face, mad? Determined? She scans the crowd until our eyes meet. A second later she is storming over.
"Steve, Steve she is coming over her." I repeated tap his arm. Pulling his arm away from my reach.
"So?"
"She looks mad." Before he or I can say any more she is standing before us, hands on her hips.

"I'm looking for Dustin Henderson. Mr. Munson said he was over here." She says taking her sunglasses off, she had striking blue eyes that feel like they froze me in place.

"I- i- im Dustin." I stumble over my words. She holds out her hand.
"I'm Sarah Parker. Wayne said you were the last person to see Eddie." She says taking a step closer. Steve steps in between us.
"Listen he told me what you said I just want more answers." She said looking up to Steve.

"Why?" He folds his arms.
"I think his girlfriend deserves answers." She says copying his movements, standing up straight trying to use her whole height as intimidation, which didn't work since she was petite.

"Girlfriend?" Steve scoffs, not believing her. I didn't at first either, then it dawned on me.
"Ohhhh. Every other weekend. The reasons he was always "busy"" I say and she nervous bounces on her toes.

"Listen, I just want to know the truth." She says leaning around my bodyguard.
"Wayne told me everything. Obviously Eddie didn't do these murders. That's not him. And he says you were with him. Just tell me what happened when the earthquake happened."

"We were at the trailer when the earthquake and split happened. I was lucky, he wasn't." Her eyes narrowed.
"Your lying." She said her voice like ice. Quickly
I look up at Steve. He grabs her arm and pulls her to a stairwell nearby.

"What makes you say that?" He asks soon as the door is shut."
"Eddie wouldn't be at the trailer. He was "in hiding" that's the last place he would be." Me and Steve said nothing. And she continued.
"So your saying he fell when the earth spilt. I don't believe you. I would know if he was dead." She said crossing her arms and leaning in.
"I would know." She says adamantly.

"No-no one could survive that." I say looking at Steve for some back up. She looks between the two of us and her eyes narrow.

"Fine, if you guys are sticking to that story then why wouldn't you bring his body back? Or tell some one where it was so they could find him." She asks.
"I figured the officials rescuers would get around to it, but they haven't." Steve says trying to sound confident.

"Well then I guess I'll just go down and get him myself." She says turning around and grabbing the door handle. Both me and Steve jump on the door. We couldn't let this girl go down there.
Looking at her face she had a confident smirk, she had called our bluff.
"Either spill the truth or I'm going down and getting him myself."

"This isn't for us to tell. We will have to talk to the group." I whisper to Steve.
"We have to take her to Hopper."

Sarah

It had taken them a half hour to convince me to let them blind fold me and another half hour driving. All I had was my hearing but all I could of hear was a constant fast paced talking of a female telling them that this was a bad idea. When the car finally came to a stop after a bumpy last ten minutes.

"Dustin, robin you stay here I'll go get Joyce and hopper." Robin, I'm assuming that's the voice of the fast paced female. I had already known Dustin's name.

Ten minutes later the car door opens and I am dragged out of the car, blindfolded whipped off. Once my eyes adjust I am met with hard eyes of a tall intimidating man, beside he was a shorter female with a soft kindness to her smile. The older male crosses his arms.
"Steve told us the jist of everything. But I want to hear it from you. Why do you want to know what happened to Eddie."

"Because I love him." He purses his lips, the female beside him touched his arm.
"Jim."
"You would be willing to go into that crevice alone after his dead body?" He ask.
"In a heart beat. Even if he is dead like Dustin claims, he can't be left down there. I can't leave him there. He doesn't deserve that."

"Dustin, stay here with her. The rest of us will vote On what's she is told." He turns to walk away and I go to say something but Dustin hold me back. What was this a secret organization or something?

Twenty minutes later they walked back out this time a girl with freshly shaven hair comes with them.
"Hi I'm Joyce, this is my daughter Jane. And this is Jim hopper." The older female says wrapping her arm around me and guides me to the steps of the cabin. Setting me down on the steps she explains that this will be a lot to take in and might take a few minutes to explain.

And she wasn't wrong. A hour later they had explained almost everything. The last couple odd years in hawkins. It was almost to much to believe and yet there was just something about their story that made to much sense.

"I get that this vecna creep killed these people and supernatural stuff has been going on for years. But I'm after one simple answer. Where is Eddie and is he alive?" Joyce looks up to hopper who just nods. She stands up and lifts me up by my shoulders and turns me yo the door of the cabin guiding me threw the door.
Once in the cabin she looks deep into my eyes, here eyes already tearing up.

"Eddie is alive, but he is in rough shape." The air feels like it was knocked out of my lungs. My eyes are burning hot with tears.

"Wher-" I choke on the question. She turns me to another door and guides me to it. She turns the knob and opening the door.

My knees almost give out on me. There laying in a bed was Eddie, as white at the sheets he laid on, covered in blood and sloppy bandages. From this distance it didn't even look like he was breathing, I spent a whole ten seconds intensely staring at his chest to make sure it was still moving. I rush forward and trip over my feet trying to get to him.

"Eddie." I say tears freely streaming down my face.

"Eddie baby, it's me. Sarah. I'm here. I came." I kiss his cheek. he is cold and clammy but alive.... For the moment.
