Part 17

The next morning we were woken up to the sound of Joyce frantically screaming for Will.
Still rubbing sleep from my eyes I go to the living room to see the front door is wide open. Joyce standing on the porch pacing.

"Joyce what's going on?" I ask going to stand beside her.
"I woke up and Will was gone. This can't be happening again." She was in tears.
Jonathan came around my still putting on his shoes.

"Don't worry mom. Hopper is already out there looking, and between us we will find him." He says running down the steps of the porch putting on his jacket.
"I can go help." I say turning back to the cabin yo get dressed.

"What's going on?" Eddie says standing in the door way to the room.
"Will is missing. I'm going to go help look for him." I step around him grabbing some jeans and my shoes.

"I'll help too." He says hobbling to me.
"No your just now starting to walk around. And some one needs to stay with Joyce."

After pacing the woods for two hours I made my way back to the cabin. Arriving at the same time as hopper. He doesn't say anything as he opens the door letting me go first. In the living room the whole group was gathered. Squeezed in tight in the small cabin. I go and stand by Eddie who is sat at the small table. His arm wrapping around my legs, rubbing slightly. Hopper put his arms around his daughter.

"Tell us what you saw,kid."

"Nothing. The same as Max. It's like they are being shielded from me. So I can't see them."El says and Joyce desperately turning to hopper sobs into his arms.

"I think the connection between Vecna and Will is stronger then we thought." El says as Joyce breaks down further.

"Do you think he has Will with him? do we think he is planning on making a move?" Eddie asked his hand gripping me tighter.

"No Vecna is still in the upside down. But I think he is planning something. But I don't know."

"If he is, we are not prepared for it. He kicked our ass last time and we threw a hell of a lot at him." Steve said.

"EL wasn't even enough to stop him. No offense." Nancy said with a guilty look.

"We need more fire power." Dustin says as the group falls into silence.
"We need more like me." El says standing up and turning to hopper.
"We need to find Kali." El says firmly.

"Who's Kali?" I ask.
"She's like me. My sister."
"Could you find her?" Hopper asks.
"Will she even be willing to help?" Robin ask, El
Shrugs her shoulders.
"We can at least try."

As El went into another room to do her own thing, the rest of the group decided to continue making plans. Steve, Robin, Nancy and Jonathan were going to get weapons and other stuff for going in the offensive.

"My house is two blocks away from the library. We can set up a base there." I suggest.
"We can stock it with medical supplies, extra ammunition. It can be the rallying point if we get separated or we need to fall back." Everyone nodded in agreement.

Eddie and Dustin were going to be coming with me seeing how both were still recovering from their injuries. Mike was currently going back and forth with hopper. Not willing to leave El's side. Hopper finally convincing Mike that some one needed to stay with Joyce at the cabin, saying that no one should be alone.

In the bedroom, packing up mine and Eddie's stuff I moved automatically. Feeling a hand on my lower back I turn to Eddie.
"Are you alright?" He asks pulling me close.
"This All seem so surreal. Like this is all not real. Like this can't really be happening. Superpowers, evil psychics, a world beneath ours."

"I know how you feel. You feel like what the hell did you get yourself into. But I can't imagine taking this all in with no proof except for El. It freaky." I nod against his chest.
"But I promise, I'll do everything I can to keep you safe. I won't let him take you from me." He says as his arms tighten even more around me.
"If anything we're to happen what's your favorite song?" He says pulling back and looking into my eyes, his full of worry.

"I thought you would know with out even asking." I tease him and he finally smiles.
"Faithfully. Journey." He says leaning down and kissing me.
"Of course."
"Mine is-"
"War pigs, Black Sabbath " I say cutting him off.
"Yea." He says with a laugh.
"We better get going. Set up the house to everyone." I say putting a duffel bag over my shoulder, taking my hand we walk to the car where dustin is already waiting.

Walking into my childhood home was heartbreaking. It was dark and unearthly silent. Every sound we made seemingly loud then it actually was. Reaching across me Eddie turned on the lights bringing the house back to life.
Getting to work we went to each of the bathrooms we gathered all the first aid materials and brought them to the kitchen laying them out on the island.

"It's not very much." Dustin says with a sigh.
"We are going to have to get more." I said.
"Wish I had access to my parents bank accounts."
"We could break in?" Eddie suggested.
"Of course you would suggest that." I rolled my eyes and laugh.
"Well I don't see any other choice."
"Wouldn't be the first time." Both me and Eddie look towards dustin.

"A few years ago Mike, El and them broke into Bradley's Big Buy." He shrugs and walks off.
Pulling my self up and onto the counter.
"I would rather not take dustin to do something very illegal." Setting his hands on either side of me, placing himself between my legs.
"You feeling up to it?" I ask wrapping my hands into the hem of his shirt.

"Midnight break in. Sounds like a good date." As he Leaned Into kiss me his hands start to roam.
Wrapping my arms around his neck and pull him closer, my hands tangling in his hair.

"Oh god! Sorry!" We hear a frazzled dustin and he break apart. Dustin was looking everywhere but towards us as he walks back out of the kitchen.

We decided to wait until two in the morning. Thankfully the rest of the group made its way to my house so we wouldn't have to leave dustin alone. I had suggested just ramming the glass doors but with a roll of his eyes Eddie shot down that idea.

"I'll just pick the lock. Besides we lock back up afterwards they won't realize they been robbed until much later."

"Good point." I say Standing behind him acting as look out. Between this time of night and seeing how most of the town had left after the earthquake it wasn't really needed. Still technically Eddie was still a wanted man see how the police hadn't held an press conference clearing his name yet. He stands up and confidently opens the door with a "tada!" Making me laugh as I walk past him into the store.

Grabbing cart he leans on it heavily. It's been a long day and he had been very active. I could tell he was hurting but he wasn't letting it stop him. He wanted to help with the plans, not just on the sidelines because he was injured. We completely filled the cart with first aid supplies before heading back home. Turning the keys Eddie paused.
"What?" I ask thinking we might have forgotten something.
"We are completely alone." He says with a sly smile.
"Yes...." I have a feeling I know where this is going.
"We could take the long way home."
"Eddie your still healing. It's already been a long day." I say trying not to laugh.
"I'll take it easy."
"Eddie..." he looks over at me with puppy dog eyes.
"Its been a while since we were alone. And who know when they next time will be." He turns off the car and scoots closer to me.
"Ed's"
"Sarah." He looks at me threw his lashes, his deep brown eyes pleading making me smile as he leans into kiss me.
