What makes the world so correct?

<Luffy's Pov>

The world was a whore. A fucking slut. Luffy sarcastically wondered how oblivious life can be.

A world where a person kisses their soulmate as soon as they lay their eyes on them?

How can something be more ridiculous?

Not even touch them, glare at them, smile at them, talk to them or say 'I love you' for the fact. Just kiss them. Luffy wanted to spit on this eccentric system nature created because honestly, Luffy thought it was extremely slutty.

Sometimes, he wondered about the blind. If kissing the soulmate was nature's way of defining love, was there no hope for the blind? Guess not.

Respect nature and its creation they say....follow its rules and policies, they say.

This system was highly and hopelessly ridiculous. Luffy didn't find the idea of soulmates stupid. He found their way soulmates meet each other stupid as well as idiotic.

He believed in the simplicity and purity of love. Kisses don't solve everything.

Luffy doesn't know who his soulmate is, but doesn't hate that person, in fact, he respects them, whoever they are. But he is absolutely terrified of the way they'll have to kiss without a second thought about the timings and the venue where they'll be kissing.

Luffy's desperation reached the point where he doesn't want to meet his soulmate no matter what. He honestly doesn't even care if his soulmate's an ass or a jerk. Or if they are extremely kind. He'd just not meet them in an awkward way.

And if his soulmate is a condescending jerk in front of him, they are gonna earn a punch by Luffy.

<Law's pov>

Soulmates. A very typical topic to talk about these days. Very common, not that pleasing. It was a sweet concept, but Law would rather not talk about it.

Because Law himself was confused on how he felt about the entire concept. It was sweet, how two people were made for each other. How they would support each other over themselves, would forgive them for their biggest mistakes, and would love them for their pretty and ugly.

But there was one thing that Law found so odd and weird and....confusing?

Why the fuck do soulmates have to kiss each other as soon as they meet?!

Law hated all sorts of physical contact. Literally all sorts of it. During kindergarten, Law hated how teachers used to touch his fingers to check his nails.

It is a beautiful concept, yet ugly. It is pure, yet dirty. It's a theory, yet practical. It's a belief, yet real. It's the feeling of selflessness for the partner, yet selfish, to let the soulmate belong to another.

Confusing, right? Law felt the exact same thing.

Law couldn't really imagine being in love with how his soulmate would make him feel happy about the other person's presence, at this point, he literally had no idea what to think of his soulmate. But, not having a soulmate was his daily prayer. He didn't believe the fact that he would fall in love with someone who would probably kiss him in a really awkward way, or an awkward situation.

Law was confused about his opinion on soulmates, but he preferred not meeting his soulmate any time soon.

Life was going great, he didn't wish to let it all turn upside down, due to one person.
