The Plan

"Wanna go on a date sometime?" Luffy asked this to the person beside him completely out of the blue. Poor Law spat on his juice and had to use a tissue to wipe the contents off his clothes.

"Do you want me to die that bad? Because if you are, you're doing a pretty good job so far. Just 2 more surprises like this and I'll be in my grave in no time." Law snapped at Luffy. Luffy laughed back.

"That's sarcastic. You're very sarcastic. But I was being serious, Law." Luffy spoke in a voice he never used before. And that made Law's sarcastic mouth shut up

"Before I answer, you answer me. Why do you even want to date me? All I can remember is me being told about how unattracted you are to people. Why am I an exception? Don't tell me because of that soulmate's bullshit. I thought you didn't-"

"Yes I still don't give a crap about it. Initially I thought I should just believe in the theory seeing as both of us were clearly kissing each other without our own consents. But I'm not the kind who believes in something without actually seeing or experiencing it. That's why, will you go out with me?"

"Oh so I'm just an experiment to you?" Law asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I heard you are a doctor, Law. I bet you love experimenting. I never said you can't use me back. And you shouldn't be afraid. If you don't believe in soulmates, you wouldn't fall for me right? Besides, my family would love to see me with you. So I'm using you for two things." Luffy explained.

"Bold of you to say straight on my face that you're gonna use me."

"C'mon please say yes!!"

Law smirked. "Fine. If I get to use you too for protecting my job and repo, then I'm in as well."

"That's GREAT!!!" Luffy almost screamed.

"Also, you aren't as stupid as you described yourself to be." Law added. Luffy then looked at him, smiled and rolled his eyes.

"I know I'm not stupid. It's just a fucking title. I liked it, so I kept it."

"Dad, guess who I brought home?" Luffy excitedly squealed as he saw his dad.

"Let me guess that super guy with robotic arms?" Dragon said in a boring voice.

"No, not Franky! I brought Traffy home!"

"Who?"

"Traffy!"

"Come again...."

"Traffy...."

"Once again..."

"OH SHUT UP THE TWO OF YOU! I'M TRAFALGAR LAW!" Law angrily barged in. Luffy rolled his eyes and Dragon's eyes twinkled with fascination and gleamed with the fact that Luffy brought home his soulmate.

"Law Law Law~~ Come in son! Oh don't mind what that idiot box calls you! He's always being stupid. Make yourself comfortable. What do you want for dinner? Be free to ask for anything, no one's gonna judge you, alright?" Dragon kept on talking to Law. Law almost smiled at how happy Dragon was with the fact that his son found his so-called 'better half'. Luffy on the other hand didn't even try to hide his sincere smile.

"Dad, let go of him. Only I can hug my boyfriend!"

And that's when Dragon's world paused. Boyfriend? Did he even hear that right? Did his son just say B-O-Y-F-R-I-E-N-D?!?!

"What did you just say...."

"Yes, Dragon. Me and Luffy have decided that we wanna give each other a chance." Law declared and Dragon immediately gave a bone crushing hug to the new couple.

"MY SONS!!!!! FINALLY! FINALLY LUFFY DID SOMETHING SENSIBLE IN LIFE! HE FINALLY FOUND HIS SOULMATE!!!!" Dragon excitedly said and grabbed Law out of the living hall to show him around the house. Law looked at Luffy with a nervous face and Luffy had to mouth 'it's gonna be alright.'

Dragon was so happy. Luffy could swear he had never seen Dragon so happy at any point of his life. He would do anything for that happiness. Even if he had to lie about being in a relationship with someone he isn't into.
