there wasn't any way to avoid it anymore.

i slid my crocs on as i prepared myself for the long haul. walking out of my room, i saw bryn passed out in the couch, with "say yes to the dress" in the background.

"running our electricity.." i whispered softly, clicking the tv off. i removed his phone from his hands and plugged it into the charger cord besides him.

i threw a blanket over him before i smiled and began the drive to work.

the traffic was light, but i had enough stops to piss me off consistently.

"can y'all please fucking drive." i sighed," please." i slumped against my steering wheel as i realized i was gonna be stuck at this light for awhile.

i looked around at my surroundings as i saw the mural diego  and i were talking about.

"i can't believe his dad painted that.." i whispered. but that also hit something in my mind. "let me call doctor baker."

i grabbed my phone, and clicked doctor bakers name in my contacts, getting ready to call him.

"niara, pleasant surprise." he said," what can i help you with?"

"i have a really big question."

.
.

i walked into the building unsure of what to expect as i've been gone for a few days. i didn't expect a grand entrance, or a welcoming party, i just wanted to see grace.

where is grace?

i walked slowly to the break room, waving at jamie as i passed by the front desk. i saw the break room ahead of me and picked up my pace.

today would be the day i left all my celsius at home.

i pushed open the door and walked inside, as a loud," NIARA!" erupted from someone, before i was swung around.

"grace! HEY!" i cheered, as i wrapped my arms around her," i missed you so much."

we hugged eachother for a moment before she pulled away from me with a smile," great news.."

"really? what is it?" i asked.

"charlotte just got up, she wants to see you as soon as possible.."

"on it? anything else?" i asked concerned.

"nope." she said, as her eyes darted to something behind me, before she focused back on me," i do have to run and talk to jamie real quick, catch up later?"

"yea, totally.."

"alright." she exclaimed, before she was gone.

"weird." i said, sitting down at the table. i pulled my phone out and scrolled through my messages, checking the time so i wasn't late.

a big pair of hands covered my eyes before a " guess who." was said.

"hi diego." i said, pushing his hands away," i assume you've anticipated my arrival?"

"would you be upset if i told you you're not wrong?" he asked.

"no? id actually laugh at the idea of me being right." i chuckled.

he placed a drink in front of me before saying the words," right right.."

"you didn't."

"oh but i did."

"stop, how'd you know?"

"know what?"

"that i left them all at home." i laughed," i left the whole bag on the counter like an idiot."
