It took about 2 centuries inverse time for something interesting to happen. An incident which ended up in an AU finding out about the multiverse's existence, an AU that isn't the elusive 2P Dreamtale.

Thinking about how entities with no universe to call their home or AU jumpers, somehow hasn't cause havoc yet? They know the rules, and dare not to break them due to some unexplained fear according to them. They hide within the AUs or disguise as a unassuming monster, whichever one they have yet cause disturbance to the story of the AU they reside. They heard of the disappearance of AUs but concluded it was just the AU naturally dying.

The incident was when one of Error's destruction sprees went haywire, Ink couldn't catch up fast enough to stop Error's destruction before anyone saw. Before Ink had sacrifice AUs that wasn't meant to be destroyed so Error will move on and Ink will stop him right when he enters a new AU. This time Ink couldn't catch Error fast enough. And inhabitants saw the destructive magic of "The Destroyer" and the magic powerful enough to stop the destruction, "The Protector's".

The two didn't say anything during their 'chases', one being Error is in an unstable state of mind, and another is Ink trying to be as serious as he could be. So by the inhabitants they were nicknamed "The Destroyer" and "The Protector".

The incident occur in past timeline of Undertale, which in term shocked Ink, he couldn't get into any of the orignal's timelines before, how in the multiverse did "The Destroyer" manage to do so then, even more shocking it was the past version. Their interruption caused the timeline to branched off into an AU. And due to the fact that the 'AU' was in the past where the player human was absent, there was no reset that can occur to fix the mishap of the two demi-gods. So once "The Destroyer" was caught, "The Protector" had to return to the AU to fix the damage "The Destroyer" caused. And therefore the AU jumpers caught on to this mysterious phenomenon and caused an rumor between a few of them.

"The unspoken rule was broken by two, "The Destroyer" entered and caused destruction to the AU, "The Protector" seemingly following "The Destroyer" entered and successfully detained "The Destroyer", teleporting to somewhere unknown. "The Protector" shortly came back to fix the destruction caused by "The Destroyer"."

During the whole aftermath, a few inhabitants asked for "The Protector's" name, he let out a small "I-" before cutting himself off, then saying "I'm not allowed to say my name" then teleporting to another part of the AU to continue fixing it.

"And that's what happened." Ink now retelling the events to Fate after a week it happened, with notes that were on his scarf helping him.

You may be asking how the [heck] does Ink write notes while in the middle of a battle or that the notes appear to be in a perspective of another, he doesn't write them. His magic is special in a way that if Ink might be wanting to retell something that happened, the magic of his will do it for him.

"I leave you to your own devices for 2 centuries, and this happens" Fate disappointed, stated.

"Hey, Error's getting better at evading me okay? I don't even know how he got in that timeline in the first place." Ink replied

Fate sighed "Your lucky that the timeline branched into an AU, and that the creators are debating who gets to 'adopt' it. Or something along that line"

...

"Why do I have a feeling that the creators would turn the machine in the basement of the brothers' house into a timeline jumper machine, or even AU jumper machine. Or the outcodes start causing havoc" Ink absent-mindedly said.

"Ink please don't give them ideas, letting Reapertale's inhabitants interact with AUs was a risky idea even with invisibility, imagine the mess it'll make when outcodes or even inhabitants themselves start doing that without the invisibility" Fate told with a concerned tone.
