N: ( follows Dixie ) you wanted me ?
D: ( hugs him ) I never thought I would really need you , but I do.

D: if one day , I needed you at night , can I come to your house ?
N: you don't have to ask Dixie , just come whenever you want.
D: ok thank you . Also , if we doing have any hw today , can you come with me to my house ?
N: even if we have 100 hws , I'm still gonna come with you .

N: anytime
D: sorry I ask a lot of questions but can I have your phone number? So I can call you or text you
N: ofc ( gives him his number ) feel free to call me whenever you want, I'll always answer your calls
D: okay . I really appreciate what you're doing to me.
N: ( smiles ) im just making sure my friend is okay
D: I'm your friend ?

D: ( smiles )
N: now cmon let's eat before we go to class

N: also we're gonna her McDonald's after school, bc you didn't get one yesterday
D: aw thanks Noah !
N: you really need to stop saying thank you or thanks.
D: no I have to ! You're doing really nice things to me and I have to thank you
N: that's what we're friends for ( smiles ) x mine let's go

We went back to the table and started eating. Everyone was starring at us , except Sophie.

N: why are y'all starring at us like that ?
Bl: I think they would make a cute couple
Av: I agree
D: you mean me and Noah ?
Addi: yea that would be so adorable
D: no , I don't think we'll ever date
N: yeah same

The bell rang so we went to our classes . After school , I walked out of the school and saw Dixie walking towards me.

D: Noah I'm scared , I don't want to go home .
N: ( hugs her ) I'll be with you the whole time .
D: ( crying on his chest)
S: ( walks over them ) are you going home with her ?
N: yeah , you ?
S: yes . Dix calm down ok ? He can't do anything to you
D: oh really ? He literally abused me my whole life ! For more than 10 years!
N; but this time , I'm here with you .
D: ( wipes her tears )
N: do you wanna leave now ?
D: mhm let's go

I welled your my car and unlocked it. Dixie got on and I put her bike in the trunk. I sat in my seat then started driving to her house. After 15 minutes, we got there and got out of the car.

D: t-that's his car , he's actually here.
N: ( rubs her back ) you got it dix , go ahead and walk in.
D: stay behind me.
N: I will dix
D: ( walks in ) m-mom ?
H: oh Dixie come here , your dad is back !
M: hi Dixie ( smirks ) I missed you baby . Come give me a hug
D: n-no , I'm not gonna hug you .
M: oh cmon ! ( walks closer to her ) just a hug

N: ( walks in ) you okay ?
D: s-stay here
M: oh so you have a bf now ?

D: no ! He's my friend!

N: she said she doesn't want it ! Leave her alone
D: ( holds Noah's arm ) let's go to my room
H: no ! No boys in your room Dixie !
D: ( ignores her and goes to her room with Noah ) what am I supposed to do? I have to live with that man for my entire life!
N: well you do but I'll be with you the whole time .
S: ( calls Dixie ) Dixie I'm sorry I couldn't come to your house bc my mom wanted me to help her with some stuff , so sorry
D: it's okay Sophie
S: so how did it go?
D: terrible, he wanted to hug me
S: wtf ?! And did you hug him ?!
D: ofc I didn't . And Noah helped too ( smiles at Noah )
N: ( smiles back at her )
S: cute . Now I gtg , bye bye
D: bye ( hangs up )
