After 2 hours

Dixie's pov:
I woke up bc I heard mrs b  yelling , I walked out of the room and saw her yelling in the corridor.

Mrs b: attention everyone!
Ma: come here dixie !
D: ( stands next to Maria , Nailea , and Riley )
Mrs b : tomorrow, tgere will be a couple who's gonna visit us here , and they're gonna adopt one of you ladies. So tomorrow at 4 pm , everyone should be ready to meet their future parents.
D: ( thinks: I hope they don't adopt me i hope they don't adopt me ) m-mrs b ?
Mrs b : yes Dixie
D: w-what if I don't want to get adopted?
Mrs b : it's your choice, if they told you they want you and you said no , you have all the right to stay here.
D: ( sighs in relief) ok
Ma: ( rubs Dixie's back )
D: ( hugs her )
R: is she okay ?
Ma: she's okay ( rubbing Dixie's back )

We all went back to our rooms and I laid on my bed. Riley and Nailea did their hw while I took a little nap . It was a nap but maybe I slept a lot until it's the next morning. I woke up and got ready for school. I wasn't really doing hood just bc I was thinking of that family who are coming today , it's making me really anxious. After school, I went back home and took a shower , I did my hw then like always , I took a nap. Suddenly, I woke up feeling someone's fingers on my cheek .

Ma: Dixie , sweetie wake up. The couple will arrive here soon.
R: yeah wake up dix , maybe they'll adopt you
Na maybe !
D: n-no ! I don't want to have parents!
Ma: why bub ? It's fun-
D: no ! W-what if heheh like my old ones ?
Ma: ( hugs Dixie ) don't overthink
D: the only person who can adopt me is you
Ma: ( laughs) I don't adopt
D: no Maria adopt me ! I'll be your bestie!
Ma: ( smiles ) go get ready
D: ( sighs ) fine ( goes to the bathroom )
Ma: I already love this girl
Na: yeah we all love Dixie
R: we do , she's amazing

I got ready then I sat on my bed , I didn't know where should I go or what should I do big I just stayed there for a little then I heard someone walk in , it was mrs b , Maria , and a couple .

Mrs b: this is Nailea , this is Riley , and this is Dixie
Na: hi !
R: hey
D: ( looks at Maria )
Ma: ( smiles at Dixie )
The woman: ( walks over Dixie's bed ) you're Dixie ?
D: mhm
Her husband: you're beautiful Dixie , how old are you ?
D: I-I'm 17
The woman: ( looks at her husband and smiles )
D: I-I'm not searching for parents, I-I'm sorry
The woman: oh
D: ( starts crying)
Ma: oh Dixie ( hugs her ) shhh it's okay . I'm sorry guys , she went through rough past with her old parents and she's still not over them.
The woman: mes b , can we talk to you please ?
Mes b : of course, follow me ( walks out of the couple )
D: m-Maria
Ma: yes bubs ?
D: I'm scared
Ma: no it's fine ! You're save with me
D: please don't let them take me , please
Ma: no one's is taking you from me , I'm here with you
D: don't leave me , I need you
Ma: I'm not going anywhere, I'm here with you
R: poor girl, I feel bad for her
Na: me too

At mrs b's office

The woman: we want to adopt Dixie
Mrs b: but you heard her , she doesn't want parents
Her husband: please talk to her , we know she will be perfect for us .
The woman: and can we talk to her too ? Please we really want her to be our daughter.
Mrs b: look mr and mean Robinson , Dixie dealt with abusive parents, which e made her scared and anxious whale parents, she came here a few days ago. All let her come here now so she can talk to y'all
The woman: ok
Mrs b: Maria , please bring Dixie to my office. Thank you ( hangs up )

With Dixie.

Ma: Dixie , mrs b wants you on her office
D: no no Maria please don't let me go please !
Ma: I'll be with you the whole time , cmon let's go ( takes Dixie to mrs b office)
D: ( walks in )
Ma: ( stays next to the couch door )
Mrs b: sit here Dixie
D: ( sits on the couch)
Mrs b: well Dixie , this beautiful couple wants to adopt you-
D: no !
The woman: Dixie please just give us time ! We'll be the best parents you'll ever know
Her husband: we'll show you all the love you didn't get !
D: n-no !
The woman: Dixie I'm begging you ! Please come ! You won't regret it !
D: no ! I wanna stay here !
The woman: ( holds Dixie's hands ) we'll be the best parents you'll ever get , just stay a week with us , only a week. We'll show you all the love you didn't get.
D: ( looks at Maria )
Ma: ( smiles )
D: ( looks at them ) o-only a week , then I'll see if I should continue
Her husband: you won't regret it !
