Usher's P.O.V.
I preached my heart and soul out that Thursday night in Phoenix, Arizona. I always loved preaching at revivals. Seeing people embrace salvation or have their faith revived was a huge blessing! My heart was so full after praying for all those people that I couldn't help but cry afterwards.
Once the service was over, Tremaine and I went back to the hotel where we were staying that night. When we arrived, a man recognized me.
"Hey! You're Pastor Raymond from Atlanta! I used to watch your church services on TV!", he said.
"How are you, sir? You know you can still watch us on YouTube and Facebook Live", I told him as I shook his hand.
"I do need to start back watching more inspirational stuff. I gotta get myself together. But listen, I'm actually the manager here so I'll send a bottle of wine up to your room. I was surprised to find out that a lot of you preachers actually enjoy wine", he said with a friendly smile.
"Man, I try not to! But I have to admit that it does settle me down after I've preached and prayed for hundreds of people", I admitted as I returned a friendly smile his way.
"Well then I'll send a bottle up to your room. Free of charge! Take care, Pastor", the generous man said.
"You as well! And thank you", I replied to the gentleman.
"So um....Can I come to your room and hang out for a little bit?", Tremaine asked.
"Yeah...Let's head on up", I responded.
When room service brought the wine up to my room, I poured myself and Tremaine some into two wine glasses. Tremaine's phone rang.
"Oh now she's available to talk!", he said referring to his wife, Kierra.
He answered the call and put it on speaker. He wanted me to hear their conversation apparently.
"Yeah, I've been trying to reach you! What's going on?!", he asked his wife.
"I was busy, Tremaine!", Kierra exclaimed.
"With the kids?!", he asked in a suspicious tone.
"Why are you questioning me?!", Kierra shouted.
"Because I'm trying to figure out what you were so busy doing that you couldn't answer the phone for your husband!", Tremaine replied.
"Well stop trying to figure it out!". Kierra exclaimed. Then hung up in Tremaine's face.
"See how she is?! She better not have that man in my house around my damn kids!", Tremaine yelled.
"Hey man, calm down! I'm sure Kierra wouldn't have another dude around your son and daughters. Go ahead and have some wine, bro", I told him.
"I'm trying to hold on to this marriage but I don't know how much longer I can pretend that I'm happy", Tremaine said.
"But you were happy with Kierra at one point, right?", I asked.
