I Never Knew

My week started like it has been for the past two weeks that I've been here. It is now friday morning and it has finally gotten to me that tonight will be my acceptance ceremony. The only activity I will be involved in in this town since I've been here. I finished getting ready for school and headed out into the living room. Evan was sitting at the kitchen table.

"Wow your up early" I said to Evan.

He just rolled his eyes "You excited for tonight?" he asked me.

"It's whatever" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Of course it is" he replied sarcasticly taking a huge bite of his frosted donut "you ready then?" he asked after swallowing

"yeah"

All my classes passed by like usual, the bell rang indicating it was now lunch time. I walked to my usual spot by the tree. The weather was now a little chillier than my first week here, I now wore jeans and a light sweater. I put in my headphones and turned up my music while eating my sandwich.

"Hey stranger" Grayson said sitting next to me.

I pulled out my headphones "hey"

"So" he paused "you have your acceptance ceremony tonight" he told me, as if I didnt already know.

"yeah, so?" I replied bitterly. he just shrugged pulling the now browning grass from the ground. I hadnt talked to Grayson since monday even though we saw eachother in class, when he came to school atleast. I dont know what had gotten into him he was quiet and kept more to himself, I had tried to talk to him once but he replied angry so i didnt bother him again after that.

I guess he noticed my bitterness and said "look I'm sorry I was an ass when you tried to talk to me on Monday. It's just a lot happened that weekend and all this week"

"It's Fine, you don't have to explain yourself to me" We sat there in silence until he spoke again.

"So your not mad?"

"Why would I be?"

"Well we're friends, friends shouldn't be mad at eachother" he said smirking

I raised an eyebrow "We're friends huh?"

"Of course we are" he smiled the sexiest smile I had ever seen. the bell rang and we headed to class.

After school Evan picked me up like usual when we got home dad was impatiently waiting for us. "What took you guys so long, we're going to be late" dad exclaimed

"Relax dad, it's only 3:40 and we don't have to be there until 4:30" Evan explained.

"Yes but I don't want to be late, we can't be late. Camila why don't you go get ready"

"I am ready dad" I said

"Your going like that?" he asked surprised

"Yes, is there a problem with this?" I asked motioning to my outfit with my hands

"Just let her wear that dad, you wont win" Evan said. I stuck my tongue out at him.

We ate a quick meal and once the clock reached 4:05 dad ushered us out and headed towards the famous pack house. Evan drove dads truck since dad was too nervous to drive. Ten minutes later we entered a long driveway and the house came into view.

As we got closer I got a better view of the house, or should I say mansión. It was a much fancier, larger versión of a cabin. I'm assuming it has three floors because there are rows three windows. The outside seemed to be made of wooden logs which is what made it look like a cabin.

There were already a few cars in the drive way which meant people were already arriving or there were just that many people living there. Evan parked the truck on the side of the drive way and we got out of the truck. We walked up the steps into the house. When we walked in we were greeted by the Alpha.

The inside of the house was not what I had in mind it was much fancier. There was a set of stairs at each side of the main door, through which we had just entered. In the middle of the stairs was a small round table which had vase with natural flowers centered on it. The stair connected at the top and two hallways began at each side.

On the first floor next to the left set of stairs was a living room which only had vintage couches, some coffee tables and a fireplace.

"Good afternoon. Welcome to my home Camila" he said

"thanks" I replied. A lady in a tight dark grey dress came down the stairs that were to our right and came to stand next to Alpha Peter.

"Camila, I'd like you to meet my wife and your Luna Eva"

She smiled and reached her hand out "Nice to meet you Camila"

"You too" I said shaking her hand. 'hun where in the world is he' I heard Alpha Peter whisper into his wifes ear. she answered his question but I didnt hear her response.

"Well Camila, I was going to introduce you my son, but it seems he is no where to be found. We have about ten minutes until the ceremony starts, if you'd like to look around the house"

"actually, I was wondering if I could use your restroom?" I asked

"Oh of course. Up the stairs to the left second door to the right" Eva explained

"thank you" I walked up the stairs and turned into the right hallway. There were about ten doors and another hallway on my right which led to more doors.

'ok she said second door, no no third. why do they even have so many doors, By the time i find the bathroom ill have peed my pants' I decided to open the closest door to me. I reached for the door knob and opened the door.

"Oh my god I am so sorry, I thought this was the bathroom" I quickly explained and shut the door. I had opened the door to find a couple making out, almost naked except for their under clothes, about ready to have sex. I took a deep breath and opened the next door and of course this door would be the bathroom.

I headed back downstairs with the image if the couple who I had opened the door on, specifically the guy. Man was he hot with that perfect muscular body and his light brown almost blonde messy bed hair I'm assuming is naturally like that because I dont think they had even gotten to the bed yet. And those piercing blue eyes that stared right at me.

"There you are" my dad brought me out of my haze "what took you so long?"

"uh sorry there's so many doors I couldn't find the bathroom" Alpha Peter, who was standing behind dad chuckled.

"Well now that your back and my son has finally appeared we can began this ceremony" Alpha Peter announced

"Everyone please gather around now you all know we have gathered here tonight to welcome a new member of the pack. I'd like you all to welcome Camila Marie Anderson daughter of our very own head of security and my good friend Steve Anderson." Alpha Peter announced extending his arm out for me to join him in front, then wrapping it around my shoulder as everyone in the room clapped.

"Now as you all know my son turned eighteen just two weeks ago, that being the reason of his long absence as he was on vacation celebrating his birthday. I've decided to hand over the Alpha position to him tonight, since we are all already gathered here. That being said Ryker, will you please join me" While he had spoken his arm had been on my shoulder, finally he let go and I step down from the stair and stood next to my dad and Evan.

I didn't know anyone in this pack much less the Alpha's son, I was shocked when I saw who it was. I stood there wide eyed, while he looked straight at me with a smirk plastered on his face.
