I couldn't believe my mom was actually doing this to me, sending me to live with my dad and Evan. I walked into my room and sat on the edge of my bed staring into my open closet. Is she serious? Should i really start packing? As I stood from my bed making my way towards my closet my phone rang. I grabbed it from my bed and answered it with out looking at the caller id.
"I've been calling you like crazy! Why didn't you answer?" My brother Evan yelled.
"I was talking to mom and left my phone in my room" I answered him lazily
"oh" he paused "so, did she tell you?" he asked finally
"What?" I asked "That she's sending me to live with you and dad? Yeah, she told me" I rolled my eyes as I answered.
" Well if you tried to do better in school and stay--"
I cut him off "Look if you called me just to yell at me save it! It's enough punishment that mom'smaking me move with you and dad, i don't need you yelling at me."
"Whatever, dad wanted me to tell you make sure to start packing right away, we're leaving in a fewhours and we'll probably be there tomorrow night."
I sighed" Okay" was all i said and hung up. I looked through my contacts until i saw the person i needed right now.
I pressed dial and he answered on the third ring " Hello"
"Hey" I said " Do you think you can come over?"
"Yeah, is something wrong?" he asked
"Umm, well i just need to talk to you"
"okay, i'll be over in a few."
"okay" i said and hung up

I plugged my ipod into the speakers and blasted the music as loud as I could. I went into my closet and took out some suitcases to start packing. I guess my mom was serious because even Evan knew and called me to suggest i start packing.
"HEY!" I barely heard Levi yell. I didnt even think about it twice i got up from kneeling on the floor and ran to hug him.
"What's wrong?" he asked
I pulled away and looked at him in the eyes. I sighed before I answered "Moms sending me to live with my dad and Evan."
"What!?...Why?"
"Well i got suspended and she said she was sick of me always getting in trouble and I guess the suspension drew the line" I walked back into my closet and began packing again.
"And when are you leaving?"
"Well Evan just called me and he said they were leaving tonight and would probably be here tomorrow night. But i dont know if they'll stay or if we'll just leave right away."
"Oh. Dude that sucks!"
"Yeah." was all i could say.
"Where does your dad live anyway?" Levi asked breaking the silence
"Some really small town in Wisconsin"
"Oh" I continued packing while talking to Levi. Being with him for at least a little while made me feel better since I wouldn't be seeing him in who knows how long.

"Hi sweetie how have you been?" my mom asked Evan walking around the truck towards him.
"Hi mom i've been good what about you guys?" Evan answered as him and mom hugged
"We've been alright" She answered letting him go. "Hi Steve"
"Hello Nancy" my dad replied "Camila--"
I knew there was a lecture coming so before he started I cut him off "Dad..."
It was pretty late probably around midnight when Evan and my dad got here so that meant we wouldn't be leaving right away.
"It's pretty chilly out here why don't we go inside" my mom suggested.
Once we were inside I said good night to them and went straight to my room. I couldn't sleep all night I just kept on how my life would change once I was moved in with dad and Evan. Not just that but settling in that small town.
"Camila, are you awake?"
I rolled over in my bed and yelled back at my mom" I am now mom"
"Good, i need you to come down we need to talk to you"
"Okay, I'll be right down" I brushed my teeth and went down to the kitchen dad and Evan were sitting in the table while mom was serving breakfast. I sat next to Evan across from dad.
Mom put a plate in front of me and sat next to dad they were all serious which was kind of strange but i didn't question it and began eating.
"We need to tell her Steve" My mom whispered to dad.
"Tell me what?" I asked with a mouth full of food before taking a drink from Evan's orange juice.
Dad sighed putting down the Newspaper he was reading"Well your mother told you the reason why she's sending you to live with us is because of all the trouble you've been getting in and with her job she can't always be watching you."
"I don't need her to watch me, I can take care of myself." I told him. Evan snorted and I elbowed him in the ribs.
Dad continued "I'm sure you can. But that is not the only reason you have to move in with us."
"Have to?" I interrupted
He nodded and continued "Do you remember all those stories I used to read to you and Evan when you were younger?" He asked
"yeah" I answered. And I did. When we were little he would tell us stories of a kingdom where everyone who lived there could turn into 'big doggies' is what I used to call them which I later learned turned out to be werewolves.
"When you're mother and I divorced Evan went to live with me, he didn't just come because he wanted to, in a way he had to and not because of a court order or anything like that. Look there really is no 'easy way of telling you." I could tell he was getting frustrated looking word the right words and i guess Evan noticed it too and it frustrated him because he interrupted dad and what he said next took me by surprise.
