I Never Knew

Chapter 12

I felt someone put their arm around my shoulder and try to pull me over and when I didn't I felt them shake me.

"Camila, let's go" I realized it was Evan

"Huh, oh uh sorry, what?"

"Let's go" Evan grabbed my elbow and started pulling me through the house.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"Weren't you paying attention?" he paused "because Alpha Peter handed his position down to Ryker, he's having a party to celebrate"

Ryker, even his name is sexy.

Great the guy who was making out with that blonde girl that I walked in on, is now also my Alpha, just my luck.

We walked outside to the incredibly huge backyard. Evan saw some guys and went with them leaving me standing there alone. I tried to find dad but there was too many people so I just walked over to the table with drinks and picked up a can of sprite. I sat at an empty picnic table and finally spotted dad talking to three older men and decided it was best I didn't interrupt.

"hey" a husky manly voice said. I looked up to find Ryker looking down at me.

"hi" I simply replied and looked back towards dad.

"Do you mind if I sit" he asked.

"I really don't think it matters if I mind or not, it is your house, your party and you are the Alpha" he raised a brow and chuckled before sitting next to me.

"You know I don't think we've met I'm--"

"I know who you are and you know who I am, since I was introduced to everyone here tonight" I cut him off. just as I finished talking I felt my phone vibrate in my back jeans pocket "sorry, I gotta take this" I got up before I finished my sentence

'Levi, oh my god! why hadn't you called me back? it's been two weeks' I nearly yelled into the phone

'sorry, I uh, I was in jail Cam'

'WHAT! why?'

'you remember Brandon'

'Which one?' I asked with a chuckle

'Clark'

'Oh yeah yeah, what about him'

'I beat him up. Turns out he was still seventeen, they pressed charges against me and gave me two weeks and I'm on probation because this isn't the first time I get locked up'

'Serious man that sucks' was all I replied.

I turned around to find Ryker standing by my brother and his friends but staring directly at me. I ignored him and continued my conversation with Levi.

"Evan where's dad? I wana leave this is like an old people party"

"I don't know go look for him"

"Screw that, I'm leaving" I informed him as I walked away but he didn't hear me through all the yelling and laughing of his friends.

I had been walking for about half an hour, and I'd realized I was lost about twenty minutes ago but decided to just keep walking. There really was nothing by which I could direct myself home because there is nothing in this town but trees.

As I was walking I saw headlights get closer behind me I ignored them not even bothering to look back.

"hey" I heard someone yell, I look to my left and there's a black Audi moving slowly moving beside me.
