I Never Knew

Chapter 5

As the three of them finished explaining everything to me, we...well they came to the unfortunate decision that I was moving with dad and Evan.

While I was packing it hit me, I was actually moving to another state. I will be going to a new school with new people, people I have never seen before in my life, live in a new town, a town which is also full of werewolf's. My life is officially over!

(Friday morning)

"Camilaaaa" Evan yelled while pounding on my bedroom door.

"WHAT!?" I yelled back. I was not a morning person, especially when they woke me up like that.

"Get up! We leave in an hour" Evan yelled back. Yup this was the last hour I would be in Texas, the last hour my life would be "normal." I laid there staring up at the ceiling, when it hit me... I hadn't even told my best friend Levi I was officially leaving today.

I quickly reached for my phone on the night stand and texted him 'I need to talk to you, it's important come over NOW!'

In less than 30 seconds he replied

'What's wrong? On my way'

I got up from my bed unwillingly and went to the bathroom to shower. Once I got out of the shower I put on a pair of sweatpants and a sweater, if I was going to be in a car for who knows how long, I'm going in comfortable clothes.

I headed downstairs into the kitchen where everyone was, including Levi.  

"Hey" I said to Levi 

"Morning" he replied "so Evan just told me your leaving in less than an hour"  

I sighed "yup"

"Here you go honey" my mon said as she placed a plate of food in front of me and another in front of Levi. We began eating, both not saying a word. It was quiet until my dad spoke

"Camila, are you all packed? I can start putting your stuff in the truck."

"Yeah, I am" I replied

"Evan, come help me" dad ordered as he left the room. Evan ran after him.

Levi and I finished eating and went outside were they were putting everything into the truck. 

"I'm gonna miss you" Levi said suddenly. I turned to look at him "I'm gonna miss you too" I said. We were quiet once again.

"Cam, is that all then?" Dad asked  

"Yup. I couldn't take my bed or else I would've packed that too" I answered, rolling my eyes when he wasn't looking.

"Well then we better get going" Dad said.

Mom walked over to me, she took my hands in her and looked at me. "Honey" she began "You know I love you and I just want you to know that i'm doing this for your own good." She said, tears threatning to get free.

I gave her a nod. There was so much I wanted to say, things that would get me a good grounding or worse but honestly there was nothing worse they could do to me. "I love you too mom" was all I decided to say. She hugged me then walked over to Evan.

I turned to look at Levi who was staring straight ahead looking like he was deep in thought. I cleared my throat "You know it's not like I'm dying or something. We can still keep in touch" I paused "Right?" I asked uncertain now.

"of course" he answered smiling. "Your my bestfriend" he said "your like the sister I never had" he finished. I fully turned to him standing on my tippy toes and hugged him.

I finally let go of Levi and walked into the house"Where are you going" I heard Evan yell after me "We're Leaving!" I walked to the couch, grabbed my backpack and  threw it over my shoulder. 

"I thought you were going to lock yourself in the basement so they wouldnt make you leave" Evan joked.

I elbowed him in the ribs and ran towards the truck yelling"shot gun" and got in the passenger seat locking the door before Evan could react. I was buckling my seatbelt when Evan started knocking on the window yelling at me to go back. 

"Evan just let her ride in front" I heard dad say as he was walking towards the drivers side. I stuck my tongue out at Evan as he mouthed 'Im gonna get you'  and pointing at me. 

Dad and Evan got in the truck and dad started then engine. I looked out the window and waved bye to Mom and Levi. As we drove off I could see them still waving at us until they were out of site.
