I Never Knew

Chapter 7

"Hey" Levi answered

I smiled "Hi" I answered

"Did you get there?" he asked. That made the tears in my eyes stream down my cheeks.

"Yeah" I choked out but quickly recovered

"So how is it" He asked

I sighed "I dont know. There's nothing. It's a dead town." 

" I'm sure it's not that bad" He said "Once you settle in and make new friends you'll like"

"Ha! I doubt that very much"

"Hey listen" Levi spoke " I gotta go but i'll talk to you later ok?"

"Oh yeah, sure" I answered. I was about to hang up when he spoke again

"Cam," he paused "Just don't forget about me after time" I could hear sadness in his voice.

"I would never do that Levi." I could barely speak "and you..don't forget about me either ok?"

"Never" was all he said before the line went dead. It was strange of him ending our conversation so quick, we usually talked for hours. Our short conversation made me feel worse.

I threw myself on my bed and cried until I fell asleep.

I must have slept the rest of the day because when I woke up it was dark out. I got up and walked out into the living room, it was quiet. I went to the other living and there was Evan laying on the couch face down, one arm hanging off the couch completely passed out. I rolled my eyes and walked away into the kitchen. I hadn't eaten anything all day so I was going to cook something...but there was nothing.

I looked around the kitchen every drawer, cabinet everything all there had was beer, sodas, chips, and some other junk food. My stomach growled so I decided to go wake Evan up. I walked over to him, stood in front of him thinking of a way to wake him up that would piss him off. So I slapped him.

"What the hell" he yelled. I laughed as he massaged his now red cheek.

"I'm hungry" I said crossing my arms "there's no decent food"

"Dad went grocery shopping" he answered in a sleepy voice.

"Oh" I sat on the couch next to him and grabbed the remote

"No" he said serious "I'm watching T.V"

"You've been watching it all day"

"Too bad. You shouldn't have fallen asleep" he answered. I tried to fight him for the remote but failed miserably. I finally decided to just let him watch T.V as dad walked in.

"There's more bags in the truck" he said. I got up and went outside to the truck, grabbed a few bags and went back inside as Evan was coming out.

I walked into the kitchen and started helping dad put groceries away. "I was going to ask you if you wanted I come to the store with me earlier but you were sleeping" he said

"Yeah, I fell asleep after I finished unpacking" I answered.

"I figured. I brought you a sub" he said handing me a wrapped sub.

"Thanks" I smiled. I took it and sat at the table and started eating it. Evan came in with his hands full of bags and set them on the counter. I stood up and walked over to the fridge to grab a soda when I turned around Evan was biting into my sub.

"Evan! You better not eat it all" I yelled

"I brought you one too" dad said throwing him a wrapped sub. Evan caught it with one hand and sat down to start eating. Dad had gotten some other food for him so we all sat together and ate.

"Camila, our Alpha is coming to meet you tomorrow" dad said. I arched a brow. What the hell is an Alpha

I swallowed the food in my mouth "Alpha?" I asked

"He's like our" dad thought about it "...Leader" I nodded my head and continued eating.

We ate, finished putting away groceries and then each went to our rooms. I set up my bathroom, took a shower, put on my pjs and wet to bed
