I Never Knew

Chapter 10

After the embarrassment I passed in class I was thankful to be going home. I couldn't believe I had been so close to him, and the fact the class seemed to be scared of him when he yelled. Oh he is definitely the schools bad boy.

I walked outside and spotted Evans shiny grey Camaro. I sighed and rolled my eyes, I can't believe that's his car! I walked up to the car and got in.

"Hey, how was your first day?" Evan asked.

I thought back to my last class and smiled "it was fine" was all I replied. He nodded

"I'm just dropping you off at home, dads at work so you'll be alone for a couple hours" Evan explained.

"Okay"

we pulled up in front of the house. As I was getting out I turned to Evan "hey, do we have Internet?" I asked

Evan laughed"yeah. we live in Wisconsin Cam, we're not caveman."

I rolled my eyes "the password is in my top drawer in my room" Evan said. I nodded

I don't know what time dad and Evan got home last night. After Evan dropped me off I browsed the Internet for a little while, showered, and fell asleep. I was woken by my alarm this morning to realize that.

I did the same morning routine from yesterday. Evan dropped me off at school and I headed to class, sitting in the back seat. A few minutes after the bell rang, Grayson walked in, the teacher didn't even seem to mind he just continued his lecture. Grayson sat next to me again, giving me a nod as he sat. I smiled and did a small nod back.

My classes were boring as could be. Finally it was lunchtime. I didn't bother getting lunch today, instead I just walked outside were most of the school seemed to gather for lunch. I walked to a tree and sat against the trunk. I took out my headphones and played music. I was looking through the pictures in my phone when I felt someone next to me. I took out my headphones and turned to look at Grayson.

"What's up?" He asked

I shrugged "nothing" he nodded and turned to look straight ahead.

"So, your not a werewolf are you?" He asked suddenly

I turned my head to face him so fast I got whiplash. I guess he saw the shock and fear in face, he chuckled then said "everyone in this school, well town are werewolf's so you don't have to worry about 'keeping the secret'" He did quotations with his hands when he said keeping the secret. I just nodded

"So?" He asked raising an eyebrow

"So what?" I asked

"Your not a werewolf are you?" I sighed

"Honestly, I don't even know what that is." I paused "My dad and brother are which is why I had to move here with them because apparently I might change into a dog, but we don't know since my mom is human they say I might not turn" I explained to him.

I turned to him and found him smirking "what?" I asked

"You called us dogs?" He arched a brow

"Oh, uh, sorry" I mumbled

He shrugged "don't be. That's funny" I heard the bell faintly ring. We both got up and walked towards the building. We walked to our classes.

I saw Grayson again in my last class, which he is in. We couldn't really talk much, so we didn't. After class we walked together outside but we were stopped before we reached the door.

"Hey man where you been? We've been looking for you all day" a blonde guy said to Grayson. He was about to speak again when he turned to look at me, then looked back and forth between me and Grayson

He smirked before talking again "sorry, how rude of me. I'm Kellen" he said extending his hand.

I shook his hand "Camila"

"You were looking for me?" Grayson interrupted. Kellen let go of my hand and faced Grayson.

"Uhm, yeah, uhh--"

"What!?" Grayson yelled impatiently

I interrupted before Kellen spoke again "I'm gonna go my ride is probably here, I'll see you in class tomorrow Grayson" Grayson nodded as I started to walk.

"Well it was nice to meet you" I heard Kellen yell.

I chuckled "you too" I yelled back

I walked out into the bright sun and spotted Evan's car right away. I walked towards it and got in.

When we pulled up at the house dads truck was in the drive way, next to it was a shiny new black Range Rover. I walked towards the front door staring at the black truck. "Don't get your hopes up, it's not for you" Evan said behind me

I turned and stuck my tongue out at him "I wasn't, I was just wondering who could be here"

"Alpha Peter"

"Oh"

I walked in and sure enough there was Alpha Peter with dad sitting in the living room.

"Hi" I said

"Hi sweetie" dad said

"Hello Camila" Alpha Peter said "how is school so far?"

"It's fine" I answered

"You make friends yet?" Alpha Peter asked

"A couple" I don't really know if I could call Grayson a friend, but he is the only person I've talked so far..

"Good" he smiled. "Well I have to get going soon, I just stopped by to tell your dad your acceptance ceremony will be next Friday. My son will be home then and I would like for him to be there."

I nodded "can I ask you a question?" I asked

"Sure"

"What so you do at these ceremony's? You're not going to stab me or take blood from me and do some voodoo shit are you?" Evan started laughing and Alpha Peter chuckled. Dad looked constipated behind Alpha Peter, I guess because I had sworn in front of the all mighty Alpha.

"No. The pack will be gathered to announce a new pack member and I will officially accept you as part of my pack" I nodded

Alpha Peter left and once the door closed all hell broke loose. "Camila Marie Anderson! How dare you swear in front of our god damn Alpha!?" Dad yelled. I stayed quiet. "Are you listening to me?" I kept looking at my phone pretending I text or do something.

Dad walked in front of me and took the phone from my hands. "I am not your mother! I will not let you ignore me or let you get away with half the stuff she did you hear me?! You can't talk that way in front especially directly to our Alpha"

"Why? What's so great about this Alpha? He seemed to have found it funny" I half yelled "and so did Evan"

"He's our Alpha just because you were just brought into this doesn't mean you can act illiterate. You know damn well what or who he is to us. We explained all this clearly to you"

"Well he didn't care, so you shouldn't either"

"Camila, just because he didn't seem to care doesn't mean it wasn't disrespectful. And you Evan" he turned to face Evan who was holding back his laugh. "Laughing is just as bad. Its like you were saying it was okay to talk like that to our Alpha" suddenly Evans laugh was gone and he got serious.

"I'm not going to ground you Camila, but if you talk that way again not just to our Alpha but anyone there will be consequences"

"Okay. Sorry" I said holding my hands out I defeat I walked past him grabbing my phone from his hand "by the way dad..you just swore" I said before walking into my room.
