Harry: Harry is at the gym with your brother when your dad decides to say something. It's been an awkward past couple of days because no matter how much Harry tries to get to know your father, the older man is unresponsive. "I don't like him" your father says as you take a seat in front of his desk I n the home office. "He's not good enough for you. He's in a boy band, how does that reflect on us?" he asks and you sigh. It's always been like this; your father has always been more concerned with how the things you do reflect back on his social standing in the Upper East Side. "I love him daddy, why isn't that enough?" you question and your father scoffs. "He's not ever going to be enough. His money doesn't give him social standing; he's a musician. I thought we decided you'd be with a doctor or a lawyer" he asks, not looking up from the paperwork on his desk. "You decided that for me daddy. I love Harry, he treats me well; he doesn't cheat, he doesn't beat me, he doesn't make me feel worthless. Until you can accept him in my life, we'll be staying elsewhere until we go back to London" you says, storming from the room.

Liam: "He's a nice boy but he's no where near as smart as you need. How is he supposed to care for you if he can't even spell properly?" your father asks as he goes over a case for work. "Dad, he's not an idiot. So he has trouble spelling, I even have trouble spelling" you defend and he scoffs. "He still isn't good enough for you. He's not smart enough, he'll never be able to take care of you" your father assures you and you scoff. "He isn't stupid" you cry, standing from your spot before rushing from the room. "Your father just wants what's best for you" your mother says as you scowl from your bed. "Liam is what's best for me. So he can't spell that well, that's not such a big deal in the bigger picture of things" you cry, pulling your blankets up to block yourself off from your disapproving parents.

Niall: "I just don't understand why you chose him, out of all people?" your mother asks, eyeing Niall suspiciously as he helps your father in the backyard. "Because, he's sweet and kind and funny..." "Yeah, but he's hardly someone you'd marry. You're standards can't have slipped that much since moving away" she says, setting the bowl she's mixing to the side as you stare at her. "My standards haven't slipped at all. He's good to me mom," you defend and she rolls her eyes. "For now. He'll cheat on you first chance he gets; that's how musicians work. Hell, he's not even a musician, he's in a boy band" she scoffs. "I'll see you when you can accept Niall like daddy has" you say with tears in yours before slamming the back door behind you.

Louis: The two of you had been together for almost a year and your family still didn't approve of the lifestyle your boyfriend had brought you into. And telling them that you had made plans to move overseas to England with him only made it worse. You had been living on your own since you were 18 but you knew that your parents definitely didn't want you making the move. You discussed with them all of the opportunities you were going to have over there as well as reassuring them that you loved Louis and that you knew he was going to take care of you.

Zayn: Your parents were uneasy with the "bad boy" image the media had attached to your boyfriend. You spent the first year of your relationship explaining to them that this was not the case, but they never listened because they were always stuck on the pictures of him out partying in the clubs. You reassured them his actions were harmless and had always been, but they were still very reluctant to approve.
