Once upon a time, in a vast castle, a count with a blue beard lived alone. He was extremely wealthy, but everyone avoided him due to his blue beard.
But one day, a poor woman arrived at the castle and declared her desire to be his bride. Bluebeard, overjoyed, brought out all the jewels and treasures from each room and presented them to his wife as a gift.
There was one exception, however: the basement room. He warned her not to go into that room, but his inquisitive wife eventually opened the secret door without telling him.
Do you have any idea what was in that room? Women's corpses were hung on the walls. They were Bluebeard's wives, who had disregarded his warning and opened that door. That's where they all wound up.
Bluebeard is french folktale. Bluebeard is a wealthy and powerful nobleman who has been married several times to beautiful women who have all mysteriously vanished in one version of the story. The girls are terrified when Bluebeard pays a visit to his neighbour and asks to marry one of his daughters. After hosting a wonderful banquet, his youngest daughter decides to marry him and goes to live with him in his rich and luxurious countryside palace, away from her family.
Bluebeard informs his wife that he must leave for the country and hands over the keys to the château. She can open any door in the house with them, each of which contains some of his riches, except for an underground chamber that he strictly forbids her from entering for fear of incurring his wrath. He then walks away, leaving the house and keys in her hands. She invites her sister, Anne, as well as her friends and cousins, to a party. She is eventually overcome by the desire to see what the forbidden room has to offer, and she sneaks away from the party and enters the room.
The room is immediately flooded with blood, and the murdered corpses of Bluebeard's former wives hang on hooks on the walls. She flees the room, terrified, after dropping the key in the blood. She tries to wash the blood off the key, but it is magical, and the blood cannot be removed. Bluebeard unexpectedly reappears and discovers the bloody key. He threatens to kill his wife on the spot in a fit of rage, but she asks for one last prayer with her sister Anne. Bluebeard is about to deliver the fatal blow when Anne and the wife's brothers arrive and kill him. The wife inherits his fortune and castle and burys his deceased wives.
Furthermore, the villagers are afraid of the Bluebeard because he is different from the others. Society recognises and rewards those who meet their standards while overlooking those who appear to be different in their eyes.
However, being unique is not something to be afraid of. We must accept and embrace one's differences because they, too, are deserving of love and acceptance. And even if you're unique, someone will love and accept you for who you truly are. Someone who isn't afraid of you and tells you it's okay to be unique.
