As the sun began to set, the Amity faction began separating, closing in for the night. However, a certain someone who never lived by the Amity ways was sneaking out and heading for the woodland area. Roxana was never one to live by rules, especially the Amity ones. She never had and she vowed to never live by them. It wasn't that she didn't want to be kind, she did, but she wanted more than just that. She wanted to be something bigger, she wanted to make more of a difference in the factions. She wanted to be...
What did she want to be? Roxana still hadn't figured out that answer yet. Did she want to be intelligent like a Erudite? Did she want to be selfless like Abnegation? Did she want to be brave like Dautless? Did she want to be honest like Candor? Did she want to he kind like Amity?
"Fuck sake." Roxana thought as she began climbing one of the trees.
She had until the sun rose again to prepare for the testing then the same time again to think on her results and chose a final faction. One that would change her life forever. Of course there were those who wanted her to remain in the faction like her father and sister, River, but then there were those like her mother that told her to "Listen to your heart. Follow what it says. I will always love you no matter what happens over the next couple of days."
Roxana had always like her mother, she had always been there for her as well as River. Roxana and River had always been close, up until a month ago when the pressure of testing and choosing became to much to handle silently. Ever since Roxana started sneaking out at night, River started to suspect her sister of wanting change which upset and angered her.
Once at the top of the tree, Roxana looked out at the city. She was lucky to be alive in the city. Behind the wall that surrounded the city was the rest of the world where a war had destroyed all humanity but that, of inside the city. Most of the building had bits missing apart from those in certian factions. Candor and Erudite both had repaired the buildings where as Abnegation had made use of the land and made small single floored buildings for everyone. Amity had used the empty land to build in as it gave then close access to the land to farm and Dautless has decided to use the buildings as they were, because they were mainly underground when they weren't keeping the factions from killing one one other.
Roxana thought to herself what she wanted her results to be. The answer was all of them but she knew that was impossible. She had to be one faction otherwise she'd be factionless and her only hope then was to relay on the Abnegation to feed her which she would never let happen, something in her cringed at the thought of the factionless.
From a distance Roxana heard her sister call out for her and she reluctantly climbed down, making sure to take her time to annoy her sister that bit extra.
"What the fuck do you want?" Roxana asked hostility.
"Bed." River replied bluntly.
"What about it?" Asked Roxana with her hands on her hips.
"We need sleep." Said her sister, making Roxana posture.
"Fine." Roxana walked to her house closely followed by a satisfied River.
