POV Chloe

My alarm went off at 6 AM, I looked at my lap and Jayden was gone. I slowly gain the energy to adjust myself and look around. Suddenly he steps in drying his hair with a towel.

He went to the mirror but then he noticed me. He looks at me and smiles.

"good morning," he tells me softly. I never saw this side of him.

it's like he's comfortable enough to show me how he really feels. instead of always being way too energetic.

I smile back "Good morning," I rub my eyes while I look at him. It's like he knows my question and answers.

"I couldn't sleep last night--" he is now scratching the back of his head, "So I went to shower at 5 AM," he's looking at me with his cold blue eyes.

I nod carefully and stand up. I stood up way too fast and I was feeling dizzy.

"You okay?" he asked,

"yeah, I just didn't eat breakfast. That always happens." I tell him

"Let's make you breakfast fast then," He replies running his fingers through his hair in the mirror.

I nod and get in the shower. I look at myself.

And realize I am blushing.

Jesus

I hop in the shower hoping we could go to the beach today. I missed the feeling of summer. The salt air and being tanned. While in the shower I am thinking about last night.

Poor Jayden. I am the only one who knows this about him.

I also feel like there is something off about Melanie. All these thoughts are coming up while I am showering like always. After a quick shower, I get out and dress up in a white tennis skirt and a Navy blue top.

I finally get to straighten my hair and it's the best feeling ever. I lay my hair down and put my sunglasses on my head using it as a headband.

I look at myself in the mirror and get downstairs

I am surprised I see everyone at the table waiting for me. I know that this looks so silly, a couple of friends wanting to live together. But I kind of like this idea. I have never done it before and I think it's a fun experience.

"good morning. princess," Blade jokes. And I roll my eyes.

"Shut up," Jayden responds. And I can see the grin on Blade's face. I didn't know Jayden wasn't a morning person. Well, I kind of imagined it.

I smile and sit next to him.

"Good morning Gaia and Mel," I tell my girlfriends.

I sit down and I take a sip of the orange juice. Melanie is wearing this horrible orange shirt she clearly told me she hated. I don't know why she's wearing it.

I look at her and she looks at me confused. "Didn't know you liked the shirt, you always told me to put it on fire" I tell her

It was true. It was something her grandma gave her so she didn't have the heart to throw it away.

"What? I like the shirt?" She tells me innocent

I almost spit out my orange juice out of shock as I say "Okay then"

"So what happened last night? I heard one of the two crying," Blade asked taking a bite of the toast.

"Why do you care?" Jayden fires.

"Why do you care I care," he fires back.

"Fine" Jayden responds taking a bite of his toats.

"I was crying," I defend, "I was watching a sad movie,"
