"Ok, whatever guys. No one could care less about doctor dodgeball and fruitloops giving the same energy." Chris groaned, leaning back against the passenger seat. Matt and Nick looked up from where they were ranting to eye their brother. What was his problem? He'd hardly talked the whole video, and now he was getting mad when it was starting to get interesting.
" O-ok." Matt said sarcastically, looking at his phone to find another one to talk about. " Someone's in a mood. Oh this one's good! Right has the same energy as even and left has the same energy as odd."
" Whoa." Nick's eyes widened. " Wait-that makes total sense. I feel like I've always thought that but never knew I thought it. You know?"
" Sure buddy." Matt laughed. " I also feel like- Chris, you good?"
He was leaning heavily back with his eyes closed. He looked like a ghost, pale as a sheet and sweaty. Nick looked over from the back to look at him.
" Yeah, dude, you don't look so great." Nick reached to feel his forehead, then recoiled when his hand touched Chris's forehead. " Shit, kid. You're burning up."
" Why is it so goddamn cold in here?" He shivered, pushing further into the seat for warmth. " Did you turn the heater off?"
Matt looked at him in surprise. It was at least thirty degrees in the car. " I- no, it's still on. Are you sick?"
" I don't know." Chris grimaced a little. " I've felt a little off all day but-" He stopped abruptly, snaking a hand around his waist.
    " Chris?"
" Are you gonna throw up?" Nick asked worriedly.
    " Mm... I th'nk so-"
Matt quickly reached to turn off the camera, right as Chris slammed open the door and puked onto the cement.
" Jeez- fuck- ok, you're ok..." Nick put his hand on his shaking brother's back, hoping to give him some comfort. " Shh.. it's alright..."
Matt pressed himself as tightly as he could against the driver's seat, covering his ears with his hands. As much as he wanted to help his brother, he couldn't stand people throwing up. It was a well known fact that he was a tab bit emetophobic. Well, a lot actually.
Chris coughed harshly then pulled himself back into the car. He was incredibly pale, and dark eye shadows underlined his eyes. " Matt, I'm so sorry-"
Matt shook his head roughly, then peeled his eyes open hesitantly. " A-are you ok?"
    " For now."
" Let's go home." Nick decided. " We can finish this video tomorrow. Are you good to drive, Matt?"
" Well, he's not driving," Matt cocked his head towards the sick-looking Chris. " And you driving makes me carsick on a good day- so I guess I am."
Nick rolled his eyes. " My driving's fine-"
" Terrible." Matt interrupted, easing the car out of the parking lot and down the road.
" Can you guys shut up?" Chris muttered weakly.
    " Oh. Yeah. Sorry."
They rode the rest of the car ride in silence.

    " Bed or couch?"
" Mm- bed please." Chris mumbled, pulling himself up the stairs and into his room, followed closely by Nick. Matt was in the kitchen, noisily looking for medicine.
Chris flopped face first on his bed, twisting to get under the duvet.
" Are you sure you want that on?" Nick asked skeptically. " It's hot as balls in here-"
    " 'M cold."
Nick raised his eyebrows, but didn't comment. He strided over to the windows and pulled the blinds down, hoping to eliminate the eerie glow from the streetlight outside.
" Here." Matt entered the room, juggling a couple pills, water and a thermometer. " Take these." He held out the medicine and the glass.
Chris grimaced, but slowly sat up. " Not sure if they'll stay down-" He gulped.
" Just try." Matt urged. The sick boy huffed softly but swallowed them.
Matt nodded, and gently slipped the thermometer in his ear. The room was silent for a moment, Nick coming to sit next to Chris on the bed until the beep went off.
" 37.8." Matt read. " Ok, not too bad. Hopefully you'll feel better by tomorrow." Nick nodded in agreement and stood to turn off the lights.
Suddenly Chris reached out and grabbed his wrist. " Wait. Stay. Please? Both of you."
Nick and Matt shared a secret smile, then without another word climbed into bed beside Chris.
They didn't leave until Chris woke up the next morning, feeling much better.
