XIII

Hmmmmm maybe Rukia and Ichigo have found a new friend ;3 But we'll have to see. This chapter just came to me as I was writing so hopefully it's not too bad. It's still short though ,_, Enjoy~

I had a feeling something was going to go wrong...
As I ran through the forest, whizzing by trees and kicking up the dirt, I could see in the distance, an opening leading to the other trail where Ichigo was. I burst through and saw the couples in the tentacles of a giant hollow that sat under the waterfall.

"Rukia!" I heard my name and turned to find Ichigo running towards me, "They can see it," he said when he reached me. I looked up at the hollow, a fat blob, purple, with about 10 tentacles. The couples hung there, some crying, others unconscious.

"You can handle this one right?" I asked Ichigo.

"Yeah, leave it to me. You go catch the people when they fall," he said and drew his zanpakutou.

I nodded and he charged towards the hollow. I saw him cut two of the tentacles off with one slash and quickly ran to catch the falling people. After he cut them all down, I laid the unconscious couples down.

"They're safe now!" I called up to Ichigo. I looked up and saw him still fighting and the hollow...grew back all of its tentacles... I sighed and thought this one was going to be trouble. But all of a sudden, I heard a mushed slash and saw the hollow peel in half and disintegrate into the air. Ichigo jumped down and spun his zanpakutou around a few times,

"Huh...that was easier than I thought it would be," he said, a bit worried.

I shrugged,
"There couldn't be anything too dangerous out here I guess. It's near a resort hotel after all,"
Just then, a rustling sounded from the bushes.

"What have you done!?"

We turned and saw that woman, her hand covering her open mouth. Ichigo and I exchanged confused looks...

"What are you talking about? And...you can see us?" Ichigo asked.

The woman walked over to us, looking like she was ready to burst,
"You killed it!" She shouted, which startled Ichigo and I,

"Sorry, but I still don't understand. Wasn't this hollow just attacking people?" I stepped forward.

"Yeah, you should be glad we killed it," Ichigo added.

The woman just shook her head and clenched her fists in her kimono.
"Th-this was the main attraction of our hotel! We would have our couples be tested here and see what they would do when one of them was trapped!" She threw her hands down and stared at us angrily.

"Do you know how dangerous that is?!" Ichigo shouted at her. She sighed and waved her hand in his face.

"In the 30 years we have been established, only one person has died. And that was because her boyfriend was a coward," she sneered.

After she said that, I had a feeling that she wasn't a normal human. After all, she could see us. I looked up at Ichigo, hoping he would understand what I was thinking. And he did.

"Look, we're sorry we killed it. Now show us what you really are," Ichigo said.

She gave us a slow smirk,
"Well if you insist," she said. Just then, she stepped forward and left her body behind her.

"You're a shinigami?!"
