Dog Bites

Sophie stood outside the next morning when a barking dog ran into her yard. She saw a tall man jogging after the tiny dog,

"Do you mind catching her?!" he said to her as the dog ran in front of her. She lunged stepping on the dog's leash. She picked it up as the jogger slowed to a stop,

"Thank you for catching her, I'm watching coco for my sister but she hates me, bit me too. Do you think you could walk back with me I live right past the corner?" he said.

"Uh-Sure, let me just tell my mom," she said

"Okay," he said waiting as she ran to the door and yelled into the house,

"Mom I'm helping someone take their dog home, I'll be right back" She returned to the jogger and they started walking to his house, she noticed then that she couldn't hear his thoughts, just like she couldn't hear Fitz's. 

"Did Fitz send you to get me?" She asked as they neared his house. 

"Yes, I'm going to leap you to meet with some people that want to see you," he said unlocking his gate she set the dog down and let it run into the yard. They went into the back and he held out his hand and a leaping wand. "Ready?" he asked her as she took his hand, she nodded and took a deep breath. 

She opened her eyes they were in a forest, he held a finger to his lips and let go of her hand. She followed him into a small cottage, and he motioned to a chair for her to sit in, as she sat two other people entered the room. She looked for Fitz but didn't see him.

"Where's Fitz?" She asked

The lady with blonde hair and ice blue eyes smiled at her and said,

"He's at school that's why he sent Gethen to get you."  

"Oh, ok," she said nodding her head.

"I'm Lady Gisela," she said introducing herself "That's Fintan and of course, you've met Gethen" 

"Hi. I'm Sophie" she said nodding at them, she waited for them to speak.

"We have a proposition for you, Sophie," Fintan said looking at Gisela who nodded "We're going to take you back, drop you off at your house, and we'll bring you to the lost cities. You'll learn to be an elf but, you'll have to leave your family. We'd like you to go to Exillium to work on your skills and we'll provide lessons for your telepathy but all your other skills need to be just as strong, what do you think?" 

"Um, well would I be able to see my family?" she asked

"Unfortunately know but, we can give you something so you can see them from far away," Gisela said.

"Okay. I'll choose that school, what do I have to do?" she asked worried about leaving her family. 

"You'll go through testing to enter another school called Foxfire, it's very popular but Exillium will be more beneficial for you. In order to go to Exillium we'll need you to flunk your entrance exams for Foxfire ok?" Gethen said

"Ok I'll do it but I should probably get back to school now,"  she said agreeing.

"Ok, Fitz'll come to get you for your testing later today. We ask that you don't tell him about this conversation he'll be sad that he couldn't come because of school" Gisela said looking at her with her ice blue eyes.

"Okay, I won't." She said standing with Gethen they walked to the door and then light leaped back. She went to her house and grabbed her back pack and let her mom know she was headed to school.
