A/n: Recap for those of you who skipped the previous chapter, Sophie was tortured, They also had Grady and Edaline too, and threatened her to Marry, the person. Sophie told Tam and Keefe she was doing it to safe Edaline and Grady and now she kinda just has to finish 2 years of high school with the humans, per her fiance's request. Enjoy.

Sophie's words shocked Keefe and whoever this friend of hers, Tam? is what he said his name was. Keefe didn't like or trust him. He went home deciding to come back tomorrow.
"Where have you been?" his dad asked as he came in.
"what's it matter to you?" Keefe said getting a snack.
"You were supposed to be home an hour ago," his dad said crossing his arms.
"What for?" he asked flippantly
"Empath training, you know that," he said
"Oh well too bad 'cause I had some plans with a friend," he said sitting at the table.
"Was it that girl?" his dad said sitting in front of him.
"Does it matter if it was?"
"She wasn't home was she?" he asked with a raised brow.
"What did you do?"
"I dealt with her, she won't ever come near you again, after all, she is not good enough for our family" he said.
"Not good enough for our family, I'll tell you whats not good enough-" Keefe said angrily
"Nope, you don't know what I know that relationship never would have worked" he interrupted
"And how do you know?"
"I'm an empath...you're feelings were real they just...wouldn't have lasted...It would have. Gone. Down. In. Flames." he said.
"I don't care if your an empath I am too, and it would have worked!" Keefe yelled, he stood up leaving the room. He ran to his bedroom locking himself in. He sat down against his wall running his hands through his hair.
If only... No he couldn't think of her right now not without knowing where she was and what was happening.

Keefe woke up to the sun on his face. What was he doing on the floor? he thought sitting up he remembered the day before. He stood hurrying to make himself presentable. Finishing he ran to the leapmaster.
"Havenfield!" He yelled. He materialized and ran up to the house knocking on the door he waited for Edaline or Grady. He heard footsteps and then the door opened.
"Who are you?" Edaline asked him.
"I'm Keefe, a friend of Sophie's... is she home?" he asked confused why Edaline didn't remember him.
"Who's Sophie?" she asked.
"Your daughter." he said, confused why Edaline didn't remember her.
"My daughter died in a fire, and her name was Jolie. Now if you could leave that would be nice, I'm busy right now." Edaline said closing the door. Keefe stepped back. None of this made sense. Edaline had to remember Sophie, she was her daughter.
He leapt home, and went to his room to draw Sophie.
