RECAP: "But you should seriously get some new clothes." she added. "Well, I guess I could go to the mall this weekend and get a couple new outfits." I said. "Do you know what stores to go to and what clothes to get?" she asked. I tried to remember the store that Minica and Veronica had been talking about this morning at the lockers. "Channel Rouge?" I questioned? She burst out laughing. "Charlotte Rouse!" she said inbetween laughter. "But that's okay, I could just come with you. I think I just made a new friend.
Chapter 3
"A couple new outfits!?" Kendra cried that Saturday at the mall. My mom nearly had a heart attack when I told her where I was going. She didn't beleive me at first, but I soon convinced her. And when I did, she grabbed me and hugged me saying, "My little girl is growing up." I'm a senior in highschool, I've been grown for a while now.
We had just gotten to the mall and Kendra had been shocked at how much money I brought. I didn't know how much money to bring. When I asked my mom she said "however much you need sweetie," then walked away mumbling stuff about how kids grow up too fast. So instead of thinking about it I just grabbed five hundred bucks and a credit card that was linked to my mom's account.
"This is five hundred f*cking dollars!" she exclaimed again. By now people were starting to look at us.
"Yes it is Kendra," I said in a soothing voice while pulling her into a corner. "I didn't know how much to get so I just grabbed this much. I haven't been to a mall since 5th grade and with this whole economy I thought prices had gone way up."
She looked at me confused then shocked then disappointed. "You haven't been to a mall since 5th grade!" she yelled again. "That's like when Bobby Jack and Limited Too was the shit!"
I looked down at my feet. I guess it is a little sad that I haven't stepped in a mall since then. The only clothing stores that I've been to in a while were good will and k mart. Mostly good will.
"What stores have you been shopping in?!" she asked.
"Goodwill and Kmart..."
"WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?"
I didn't reply, scared that she was going to start yelling at me again.
"Let's just get strted," she said, pulling my arms toward one of the Aeropostale
Let the games begin.

First we went to do my hair. We went into one of the salons to decide what to do.
"Maybe you should just get highlights and not die the whole thing," Kendra suggested.
"Okay, but what color?" I asked flipping through the book.
"Maybe a dark red kind of color." Kendra suggested.
"Okay," I agreed. "Should I get it cut too?"
"Maybe just a trim," she replied.
"Okay," I said. As you can tell, I was pretty much going along with whatever Kendra said because I had no idea what I was doing.
