RECAP:"So what song are you gonna sing at your audition?" Kendra asked the next day, at my house after school."I don't know," I replied back. "Well how about we just find a song first, okay?" She looked at me with a smile. "Okay," I replied. We had made a list of possible songs that I could sing and it was still pretty long:More to Life by Stacie Orrico, Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton,Alice by Avril Lavigne,Better in Time by Leona Lewis,Brick by Boring Brick by Paramore,Bulletproof by La Roux,Good Life by OneRepublic,Here We Go Again by Demi Lovato,I'm Grown by Tiffany Evans,Impossible by Shontelle,One Step at a Time by Jordin Sparks,Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie,Bubbly by Colbie Calliet.

Chapter 6

 "Nervous?"

I turned around t face a guy about six something. He had brown hair and hazel eyes. Overall, he was good looking.

"Yeah. How can you tell?" I asked. He chuckled, "Well, you're bouncing around and wringing your hands."

"I stopped bouncing, I didn't even realize I was doing that. Then I looked down at my hands and sure enough they were in a wringing position. "Oh."

He laughed at me again. "Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that everyone here is nervous," he assured me and patted my shoulder. "Brandon, by the way." he added.

I nodded my head and smiled. He looked at me, like he was expecting something. I raised my eyebrow when realization hit me. "Oh! My name's Sam," I said.

He laughed and I laughed with him. It felt good, because I hadn't laughed since Tuesday with all the stress of this audition. Kendra had come over everyday  to help me rehearse and practice. And every time I doubted myself or messed up, she would encourage me in someway or how and push me a little harder. Sometimes she would be a little hard on me, but it payed off. I really think that I'm ready, or thought. Now that I'm here and I see that a lot of these people are really good, I'm nervous and jumpy. But Brandon was fixing that for me.

"So, if everyone's nervous, does that include you?" I asked him once I stopped laughing.

"Yeah, I'm really scared," he said. "But I'm a man, I can take it," he added and did that pop collar thing that boys do to look cool. I chuckled and he joined in, but we soon froze.

Gwen along with Chelsea and Tess were next to audition. They had taken it all the way too; they had matching outfits. Light denim short shorts that could pass for belts, teal, spaghetti strapped shirts that showed their belly buttons, white headbands and bangles. All the boys that were there were drooling, especially her boyfriend, Chris Banks. Before she stepped onto the stage, she gave a long kiss to Chris and winked at Seth who was also there to watch.

She started the music and the room grew silent, everyone wanting to know what their leader had come up with. A familiar tune surrounded us and I immediately knew what song it was. Me and Brandon shared a "aha" moment then turned back to the stage.
