Nana enters his office upon being summoned " yes ? Colonel."
Izuya ; about a few days ago...
Nana : it's ok. I understand. You're.... Of high position. I'm... Just a commoner. Or at most... An information Head.
Izuya : marry me !
Nana ; .... What are you talking about!! * Face flushes red *
He stood up " marry me. You are the one person I think about, everytime I come back from the battlefield. "

Her tears fell and she drops her equipment " are you sure ? " He laughs a little and removes a little of his mask and kisses her on the forehead. " I'm sure. "
Nana : ... Then... I want to see your face.
" after we get married. " He goes to her ear " I want it to be a surprise for you ~ on our special night ~ "
" Izuya !!" She pushes him and pouts " bully me. "
He goes to the cupboard and takes out a short blade with a plain silver sheathe. Their names were carved one side each. He passes it to her " here. My promise to marry you. "
She takes it " Izuya... " She looks up " you're going out tonight ?"
He nods " I'll come back. Ok ? "
Nana : you promised... So that I can see your face. And if there's a scar so big... I'll heal that too.
He hugs her in " you silly Nana."

Izuya entered the healing bay , tent. He notices Nanalise shouting orders across the tent.
Nana: move him there !! Ahem. Time for you to leave.
The soldier with a bandaged arm looked at her.
Nana : get off !! You'll have your arm later. Someone needs the bed !!
The soldier gets off reluctantly.
Then Izuya approached from behind her and hugged her. Nana screamed a little. She turned around " Izuya !! "
Izuya ; I'm leaving.
Nana: you... Are ? You'll keep your promise right ?
Izuya: which?
Nana blushes a little " both. To come back and marry me."
He revealed a little of his mask, just enough to give her a kiss on the forehead . He goes to her ear " bear with that ok ? I'll give you whatever you want when I come back ~ " and he wears back his masks.
Nana ; mmmm.... For some reason I can tell you're smirking under that masks.
"Hmhm." He gave a light cold laugh " see you. " And he left.

On that night... Two terrible things happened. The base was being attacked. This was rare and sudden. The healer bay got bombed and spots were destroyed. Those who could run, ran.
One of these spots were exactly a few metres from where nana was standing. She was fazed and she could hear ringing through her ears. Her eyes were blurry, all she could catch was dirt... Dead people ... And ...so much noise. To which she just passed out.
When she regained her conscious. She found herself in her own room .
She saw two people. They were whispering to each other. One soldier, one nurse. She sat up forcefully.
One of them came to her. It was one of the nurses that worked with her "Nanalise. "
Nana ; what ?
" .... I'm sorry. ".
Nana : sorry what ?
".... It's about... Colonel Izuya. He..." The nurse's face changed.
Nana : he what ?!!
The soldier came over " he and his squad never came back."
Her tears fell " are you saying..."
" He's dead. Ma'am." The soldier reported.
"....." Nana grabbed onto the nurse's shirt" my blade. My silver blade !! Did you see it ?!!!"
" No. Sorry..."
" I've to go find it. " She got off her bed " I've got to go !!!" And she ran out.

She kept looking through the debris.... But she found nothing.
The nurse came over " Nanalise. It's ok. Do you want to cry in my arms ? "
Nana : I'm sure it has to be here.
" Nana. It's missing. How about a new one ? "
" that one !! I want that one !!! It's....it's Izuya's !!! He said he'll come back to me!! Come back to...me" She cried.
