16: Her First Deal

While nana was in the army, she climbed the ranks quickly as a soldier.

In three months, she got recommended to be squad leader. Then the next five months, a platoon leader.

Everyone was talking about her. A soldier healer who moved up. No one ever thought a soldier healer could even do that. Have the brains and brawns and heal.

Then there was one particular incident that made her into a captain quickly. Also one, that made her spotted to be an elite soldier.

At Castle Forknook then...

" You said you have a deal for me ? You can stop the soldiers coming ? " The king asked.

She pulled down her cape and revealed her face " let's make a deal. To save your country and reduce unnecessary souls that will die."

" What deal ?"

Nana; let my platoon take over this palace. When I mean take over, I mean, your soldiers retreated from the gates. Let my people take over. The palace, my soldiers. You can hide yours, make them wear their usual civilian clothes.

" This is surrender !!! Guards !! "

Nana : calm down. Listen to me. Lieutenant Barow is heading this way with his company. They're known for being unnecessary violent. To takeover this castle in order take your supplies for his next battle. He's always been the crass type to just take whatever he can.

" That's right !! I will protect my people!! "

Nana: I'll protect your people. Tell them to close their doors. Don't come out. This will be over in a day.

" Aren't you from the same army ?!!"

Nana: same country not same army. In exchange,we want enough supplies.

" Supplies ?"

Nanalise : yes.

" Why should I trust you ? "

Nana: you're bound to lose if you fight him anyway. This way, maybe you can even try to get an ambush in.

" Hmmm... Deal "

Barow and his company had entered castle.

Barow : good job. Captain.

Nana : captain.

" Nana. Are you sure ?"

Nana: it's ok. When it comes to traps, I'm good at it.

Barow ; what is going on ?

" Please. Die for me. " She said. Barow takes out his magic gun and shoots a few blasts at her, to which she took it. Because at the same time, she snaps her fingers.

A circle around Barow exploded and chemicals fumes rise around him like a wall.

Nana: try lighting up. I guarantee you burn.

Barow tries to step out of the circle of green gas, but magic blasts from their two machine guns make him retreat back into the circle.

And in a few seconds, Barow was on his knees. Dead.

She throws another vial onto the ground and it clears the green gas. She walks over and kicks him " dead."

" I've never seen you use that. I thought your potions can only heal. "

Nanalise: it's poison. Lethal. Also flammable. Cos he had fire magic. Anyone being smoked by that for more than 5 minutes dies. I made it thicker and plus a wall. He has to die within 20 seconds

" Nana... Don't tell anyone you did this. You'll be trialed in martial court for killing one of our own. "

Nana : final step . Welcome our own company's Lieutenant.

"  How did you manage to get him to agree ?" Her captain asked.

Nana: he hates him too. Wanted to take him over long. Just needed him to arrive a few moments later I killed Barrow.
