Nana had just reached home " Izuya... "

Izuya ; found out everything you wanted to ?

Nana nods " almost."

Izuya ; what else he didn't tell you ?

Nana : why your brother made you wear a mask when you entered the army.

Izuya sweatdrops and sighs " my stupid god big brother insisted on it. I was born as an illegitimate son on this plane.Nobody in the clan knew my face. He said it's better it stayed as no one who knew it. Especially for a god who already blessed a clan. "

" You blessed a clan?!!" Her eyes sparkled.

Izuya laughed a little " yea... I did. Before I entered the army."

" that's so cool !!" She pulled his arm to the couch " how is it like ? Tell me tell me."

Izuya : aren't you excited.

Nana : trade gods can't bless clans. We only can have agents. Not the earth ones I already have. How big is your clan now ? Hehe.

Izuya: well... Not as big as the Azayaki one... They are kind of everywhere. But big enough.

Nana :that's so cool !! What's their name ?

Izuya : nosy. You know these kind of things I should keep to myself.

Izuya : well yes. I guess that's why my big brother told me to keep my face hidden.

Nana laughs " imagine if they thought they had a god amongst them. "

Nana : everyone would want you ! But you're mine. Ok ?

Xerxes , another trade god had purposely made himself known while Izuya was on the grocery aisle " hi. Shadow god, Izuya."

Izuya : Xerxes.

Xerxes : you learn my name fast. Though I didn't think this is what shadow gods actually do.

Izuya : I actually happen to like cooking. The slicing part especially. Very satisfying.

Xerxes: I see. I heard you're marrying Nanalise.

Izuya ; what's that to you ?

Xerxes ; you know trade gods don't actually get married right? If anything, the more they loved the partner , the more they wouldn't marry. In history, marriage between trade gods and gods were done for mainly one reason.

Izuya : what are you trying to say ?

Xerxes ; even Mephisto and his wife , Anna didn't get married.

Izuya : why should I trust you ?

Xerxes : then ask mephisto. You trust him, don't you ?

So Izuya did. He came to mephisto and started chopping the vegetables up quietly while keeping to staring at him.

Mephisto: haha. Please tell me what you want.

Izuya continues to chop " I thought you knew everything."

Mephisto : I can't grant a wish if I don't know what you want.

Izuya continues to chop " truth. I want. " Then he slides the vegetables on his board into the pot of soup in front of him.

Mephisto: ok ok

" Promise ? " Izuya takes the slab of meat then continues to chop it quickly. Chop chop chop chop chop....

Mephisto sweatdropped" ok ok. "

Izuya : are you and Anna married ?

Mephisto's face becomes sullen " someone told you something?"

Izuya : answer me.

Mephisto: trade gods don't marry. Girl or guy all the same. Anna and I didn't . The marriage ritual has one aspect a trade god cannot... No ... Won't bear to do it to their beloved.

Izuya ; what do you mean ?

Mephisto: the vows of marriage. To vow to forever only be each other's. You know what that vow means ?

Izuya ; to only love each other .

Mephisto sighs " For a trade god... That would mean , the beloved would become a property of its to use. "

Izuya : but that means the same to the partner.

Mephisto: not for a trade god... doesn't mean the same. It merely becomes just the normal vow. Because no one will mean it to offer their whole of entirety to someone else.

Izuya : oh...

Mephisto: so trade gods don't marry. It's not fair to my Anna. So we just live together like we're married. We even have a family. It's enough for me.

Izuya : so it never happens?

Mephisto: happened once or twice. Never ended well.

Izuya : so me and Nanalise... We can't ever...

Mephisto: are rituals that important to you ?

Izuya : Enalise.

Ena : it won't be fair to you if I didn't tell you this.

Izuya : about Nanalise ? About that we can't get married ?

Ena ; .... So he told you already. My old man.

Izuya : I heard it from someone else. But yes.

Ena : I hope you still stay by her. Like my mom and my old man did. I was their first child, the first reason they called each other wife and husband.
