In this world, there is a major group of people who have quirks, an unusual superpower that if trained they can become heroes. Then there is the minor class of people who don't have any, who look up to the heroes... but to everything good, there is a darker side to things, the villains, the people we are told to fear, told to hide from. But I don't see it that way. My mother was a hero and met my father through her being a hero. He was a villain until he met my mother. Together the two would somehow find each other and eventually, they left their separate worlds and had me, teaching me that not every book is as cut and dry as people seem.
My father did look up to the heroes, he was raised with an abusive mother and father who didn't care for him, and when he went for help no one listened to him. He used his powers for what most would consider bad, but my mother on the other hand came from a poor family, her mother worked many jobs to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. My mother vowed to her mother that she would become something great one day. She did and now my grandma is living happily with no work.
My parents told me I could be anything I wanted to be, I went to the best school in all of the US for me to learn how to become a hero and use my quirk to help everyone, not just the civilians but those who are not the usual victims who most wouldn't think would need help, I wanted to help the villain's as well. I eventually became a vigilante working with the heroes but I knew some villains thanks to my father and have given them immunity from all things involving the law. My hero name is Water Lily.
Nixie Waterman - Quirk: Water
She has the ability to use the element water, her physical makeup has her absorb anything containing the water molecules. The more water that surrounds her she can absorb it to grow in height, she can also bend the water to her whim, shapeshift, change her appearance, and go into an invisible like state. If she tries she can return to the water's original liquid state.
Now, walking on the thin line between being a hero and a villain is a dangerous game. It was early April when I was finally enjoying my day off, a very rare day for me like normal. I was watching the news trying to see if my name had made it big or not, but that is when the emergency hero broadcast started interrupting my normal news.
" Attention all heroes alike! There has been a mass villain attack on UA's campus!" A masked reporter said and I felt my jaw drop as did my spoon from my hand. " The Unforeseen Simulation Joint or more commonly known as The USJ has been attacked from what we have gathered by a new group called the league of villains!" The reporter said.
" What the actual fuck?!" I yelled getting to my feet watching as smoke poured out of the glass-damaged ceiling.
" Multiple teachers have been injured. No reported student injuries yet. The class inside is the new up in coming class 1A. From what our sources have told us, their homeroom Teacher, Shouta Aizawa is in critical condition, as well as our country's number 1 hero All Might." The reporter said and my eyes widened as I watched the ambulances pull out of the school campus lights and sirens blaring. At this time I turned off the TV and called my dearest friend Soundwave.
" Did you see it?" I asked as soon as They picked up.
" Yeah, I saw it." They told me.
" How is this possible, I would expect something like that here. You remember how high school was." I told them and I heard a small chuckle from the other line.
" You're not wrong Nix. Do you think you'll be called in?" They asked me and I let out a small sigh. " I highly doubt that, but... Given how they got into the world's number 1 hero school so easily it wouldn't surprise me. I'm just curious if they even know about me." I told them.
