I stopped what I was doing for a second, nearly dropping the coffee cup on the ground. I knew this was gonna happen, I knew his position wasn't going to be open forever. Grey- Sloan needed a head of peds. I just was hoping it wouldn't happen this soon. Then again maybe it's a good things, maybe it's a sign I can move on. If the hospital can, so can I.
"Well it sure took them awhile." I said, attempting to make it a joke. Link laughed, he visably relaxed when he noticed I wasn't upset. He nodded in agreement before he finally spoke again. "Yeah, it's Connor Hale." Connor Hale? The name was familiar. Back in college my first year I had a roommate, who I believe was dating a guy by the same name. Or maybe his name was Conrad? "Was that the guy that dated my roommate?" I asked, walking over to Link to hand him his hot chocolate. He took the cup from my hands and placed it on the coaster next to him, probably to let it cool a little bit.
"No, that was Conrad. You never met Connor." He answered. You never met Connor, not we have never met Connor? Did he know him or something? Link noticed my confusion and decided to answer. "A long time ago we went to summer camp together. Never heard from him sense." He most of not been important, since Link has never mentioned him. I nodded, taking a sip of my hot chocolate. "Well maybe this is what the hospital needs."

"You really didn't have to do this." I said, to my sister as she grabbed a box from the trailer. She laughed and shook her head. "I wasn't going to leave my brother stranded in Seattle. Even if he is an asshole." She joked. Alyssa and I have always been close, even with the three year ago gap we have. Once she turned eighteen she decided to give me the nickname Asshole, and it has stuck ever sense.
I laughed and grabbed a box from the left side and followed her into the house. It wasn't a small house, but it wasn't huge either. It has two floors. To first floor had the living room, one bedroom, an office, and a bathroom. While the second floor has the kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. It was going to stay in the upstairs bedroom, that way I was up stairs if Ellie needed me. Which makes the downstairs bedroom, the guest bedroom.
That was the main reason Alyssa came. Sure, she wanted to help me move in, but she also wanted to decorate the guest bedroom. She was usually the only person that visits, so it just makes sense for her to design it. After all she is an interior designer.
"Please don't tell me you plan on decorating this entire house with manly stuff." She said, as she looked around the huge open space. When Ellie wandered in, Alyssa gently grabbed her hand. "Alyssa, please tell me what 'manly' stuff is." I said, as I gave her a small smack on the shoulder. She took a deep breath and then replied with the most ridiculous answer I have ever heard. "oh yeah, you know just some casual dead bear heads, some dead fish that sing that same Elvis song over and over again. You know useless junk."
Bear heads? I've never been a fan of having something on my wall staring into my soul. Now for the singing fish, that was our grandfather's. I don't put it on the wall, I just have it in a box to remember him by. "Alyssa, I know you have zero faith in my decorating skills, but give me some credit." She sighed and let go of Ellie's hand. Ellie found the box with her toys in it, she was already taking it up to her bedroom.
"Okay, but I know for a fact your going to have motorcycle pictures everywhere." She said, disgusted by the thought. Is she being serious right now? I own a actual motorcycle. Why on earth would I need pictures of them? All I did was roll my eyes in reply. This was going to be a long day, I can just tell you this now.
After talking to Alyssa, I decided to go help Ellie with her room. The bed was already set up and ready, for her to sleep in it. I always like being one step ahead. "Hey, Ellie Belly." She was currently on her bed, reading some Disney book she had got. Well, she was trying to read. "Hi." Was all she said, usually I get more than that. Usually I get told about anything and everything. I walked over to the bed and sat down. She immediately scooted into me. I wrapped my arms around her tiny shoulders, and gave her the biggest hug I could. Was this a good choice after all?
