4) Bar stools

Jo Wilson pov.

"Hey I'm Connor Hale. I'm the new head of peds." So this is who everyone was talking about. Looking at the guy in person. I can see why everyone was talking about, he definitely wasn't bad looking. "Jo Wilson, General.... Attending." I greeted. He stuck out his hand. So he was a handshake kinda guy. I took his hand, like I said before he definitely was not bad looking. Link decided to interrupt the slightly awaked silence. "Hey, me and Jo are going out for drinks tonight. You just come."

Connor waited a second before responding. "I would love to, but I know my daughter is waiting up for me." Daughter? So I was correct when I guess he had a wife. "Ah that's alright, maybe next time. Hey if you ever need a bar to go to Joe's." Link replied, pulling out his phone. Probably to give him his number or something. I noticed Connor was looking at me when Link said Joe. He probably thought Link met to go to my house or something.

"The bar is Joe with an E, I am Jo without an E." Oh my God, why did I say it like that? Instead of looking at me like I've lost my mind. He laughed and shook his head. "ok, Jo without an E." He joked. I watched as he grabbed some random paper and wrote something down. What is he doing? I didn't have to wonder for long. He handed it to me. I gave him a confused look, what was the point? "What is this?" He laughed as he begun to walk away. "It's my number, in case you want to get a drink. Jo without an E" He joked, as he waved and turned around and left. So I was definitely wrong about the being married thing.

I looked to Link who was smirking. "Don't you even start, he is just being friendly." Link just shook his head, looking somewhat disappointed. "Whatever you want to tell yourself." I rolled my eyes, is he serious right now? "Let's just go, I'm sure Deluca and Meredith will be waiting at the bar for is." He shrugged and followed me out the door to Joe's.

Connor Hale Pov

"Dadda." I heard right when I opened the door. Didn't I tell Alyssa to make sure she got to bed? "Hey Ellie, what are you doing up?" I asked, as I grabbed her into my arms. She giggled. "I wanted to see you." I laughed and carried her up into bed. I tucked her into her bed and went to find Alyssa.

After what felt like forever I found her passed out on the couch. I guess that's how Ellie got away with staying up early. I grabbed the blanket on the couch and drapped it over her. Might as well be nice to her, she probably also had a hard day.
