8) Budding romance?

Connor Hale Pov
A few months later.

"Dr. Hale great to see you." Miranda Bailey said, as I entered into her office. I smiled, knowing that she probably didn't mean a word she just said. She probably asked me here to yell at me.  I was the one that told one of her best general surgeons to switch to a different specialty. Which at the time was absolutely no problem, but now the hospital is getting swamped more than usual. We had to drop a resident program, because of problems happening in that area. "Dr. Bailey." I said, trying to keep the smile on my face.

Instead of anger she kept a still happy face. Maybe I was wrong, maybe I wasn't going to get yelled at for helping Jo switch her specialties. "There is someone I want you to meet." I just realized there was a woman standing there. She had blonde hair and looked way too happy to be here. "Dr. Hale meet Dr. Robin's. She came here to temporarily help with the lack of staff we've been experiencing. She will help you in peds." This wasn't where I was expecting this conversation to go.

"Arizona." She said, sticking her hand out for a hand shake. "Connor." I replied, returning her handshake. Who knew Dr. Bailey actually had friends that weren't the spawn of Satan. Arizona paused for a second, before talking again. "Connor? As an Connor Hale?" What? How did she know that? Maybe she was a friend of my sisters? She might have dated my sister Leah, I swear Leah said she had a girlfriend named Arizona. Or was it Montana? "The one and only." I responded.

"Well I've heard a lot a about you." She said smiling. "Oh have you?" I responded, not really knowing what to say to her. "It's nice to finally put a face to the name. I mean I never expected Jo to find a boyfriend after Alex, but." I interrupted her. "Wait, I'm not Jo's boyfriend, I'm just a good friend of hers." After Alex? Wait, I'm confused. Was Jo telling this woman that me and her are dating? Arizona looked slightly embrassed, but quickly rubbed it off. "Oh I just thought, never mind. You must really like each other then." Before I could ask what she meant by that Dr. Bailey decided to quick us out of her office.

This was going to be an interesting day.

Jo Wilson pov

"You know I think he likes you." Amelia said. I looked to see that Amelia has finally arrived to the park with the millions of texts I sent her. I rolled my eyes, she's got to be crazy. "What gives you that impression?" I asked, why does everyone insist Connor likes me? Even Link has gotten to the point of madness. "Well for starters he trusted you to take his daughter to the park." She replied, pointing to the little girl, sitting on the bench next to me eating pretzels.

"Ellie? Connor just asked me to watch her for two hours before Tessa can come get her." Tessa was the only sisters of Connor's I haven't met yet, I've met Leah and Alyssa last week at a family gathering thing that Connor invited me to. He said after moving away from so said family he didn't want to face it alone, it was actually fun just spending time with him and his family. "Well the hospital does have a daycare." Amelia pointed out. I shook my head and laughed, she was just as bad as Link.

"Connor, just wanted her to get used to the town more." I don't know if that was true, it was just the first thing that came to my mind. "They've been here for months, Jo. I think she knows Seattle pretty well." She had a point, well whatever let her think what she wants to. "It's not a big deal, Amelia." I said, trying to be nice as possible but still putting the message in her head. "It is a big deal, Jo. If he's trusts you with his kid. That is sign he really likes you."

Well damn it. Amelia might be right about this one.
