ADAIR CONNELLY
billie went from the cute girl from the coffee shop to my girlfriend.
we did not hesitate into moving forward with each other, we both knew what we wanted and when we wanted it. by the five month into our relationship we had moved in together.
her dream was to leave in a cottage-inn house in her young life which we made happen, a small house of one bedroom was available a little out of town and we took it.
it was a beautiful house in my opinion, round windows instead of normal ones and fully surrounded by flowers that we didn't have to grow, the back door leading into nothing but a big field of flowers.
our only problem was being out of town, so we grew our own food in a little garden and we learnt how to bake bread. it was the highest point in my life.
the happiest I had ever felt.
billie wanted to adopt a cat, which she never got around to doing in fear of it being lonely with no other cat friends.
we had moved from meeting up for tea to making our own tea in our kitchen. sure, the house was temporarily but it's where our happiness lies forever.
our gentle kisses shared in the middle of those rooms, our gentle whispers, our gentle touches and all the forehead kisses.
it's where our souls are happiest.
but things change, things don't always go as planned. as much as I would have loved to spend the rest of our lives with billie, that's not where our path lead us.
she treasured her brother more than anything in this universe and once he got sick.. I had lost her.
the more he started getting worse.. the more I saw a billie I never knew.
she had lost her spark.
she had lost her big smile.
she no longer reacted to my many forehead kisses.
her love for the daisy garden started to fade, instead of waking up everyday to water it, she woke up and watched it die day by day.
she no longer cared for anything.
nothing made her happy.
I still loved her nonetheless.
she was my person.
she will always be my person.
she's who I'm meant to be with.
she's what's perfect for me.
we only got to enjoy our small house for a few months before she asked to move back home to be closer to her brother.
she spent every waking hour by his side.
