came the day I was brave enough to ask billie to a date.
we were almost five months into knowing each other and the way she squealed and jumped when I asked her told me everything I needed to know.
she was definitely my future, no matter what I had to do for a future with her.
she jumped up and down on her sneakers with excitement before squealing out a yes that made me beam too and tackle her into a hug.
I know I had said I fell in love with her the day I saw her but I was only falling deeper now, to the point where I thought there was nowhere else to fall anymore.
I was in deep for the cute little girl I met at a cat cafe.
after that came the day I took her on the date, it took hours to get there but it was all worth it when I removed the blindfold and billie screamed in excitedly at the sight of a daisy field.
"Adair, there are so many" she shouts walking through the field, I smiled to myself standing and watching her walk through the field in her pretty summer dress that ironically had flowers all over it.
"Adair come!" she shouts from the bottom of the hill, "it's so pretty" she shouts once again as I make my way to her, when I get there billie had her hands cupped with a butterfly on her palm.
"it's so pretty" she whispered out mesmerized, I took that moment to take a picture or a few.. when she heard the camera she looked up with her big eyes and posed for me with the butterfly.
I remember the butterflies I had in my stomach that day, it felt like I had more butterflies than the field of flowers.
"you're so pretty" I told her, which made her giggle nervously while letting the butterfly go with a pout, she took my hand to walk through the field towards the only tree here.
as soon as she discovered the more butterflies sitting on the log, more excitement and giggles built up in her.
billie was always a open person and happy person.
every little thing made her happy, it's one of the things I loved so much about her.
she made it easy to love her.
"come on, I packed us some food" I told her taking her away from the tree but not without taking many pictures, she held my hand all the way to the top again and we set up our little picnic.
"this is the first and best date I've been to" she said removing her loafers leaving her in her white socks, "thank you a lot for this"
and of course I blushed to this, "you don't have to thank me, thank you for trusting me enough to take you almost two hours away from home" I said to her making her laugh.
"you're welcome" this time she took the camera from me to take pictures of the surrounding and of me before suggesting a picture together, which I would never turn down.
"so pretty" I muttered looking at the picture, we both had big smiles at the camera.
