2009, it's Carmel High School, the home of Vocal Adrenaline and the team was looking for new blood. They had Jesse St. James, but he and all of Vocal Adrenaline felt as if they needed someone to help lift up the sex factor, a girl. Kurt Hummel, who was already apart of the team wondered why a NEW girl was needed for the lead female vocals and not anyone of the other girls. Kurt had just decided to go along with it. The practice was over and Jesse was walking home, he turned his head and saw someone in their window, singing. They were singing in front of a camera and it looked like Jesse could make out a MySpace page on the MacBook. He went next door and knocked, no car was home but he could hear someone. A girl opened the door.

R: Hi.

J: Hi, I'm Jesse St. James.

R: Hello Jesse, I'm Rachel Barbra Berry. And incase you were wondering, yes my middle name comes from the greatest broadway performer to ever live, Barbra Streisand.

J: I figured that, I was told that I was named after the guy that was Jesse in the "Jessie's Girl" video, but my name is spelt J-E-S-S-E and his is spelt J-E-S-S-I-E.

Rachel couldn't help but giggle.

J: What school do you go to?

R: I'm actually about to go Carmel High.

J: I go there.

R: Really?

J: Yeah. I could show you around the school when you go tomorrow.

R: I would like that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to rest because every star needs to get some form of sleep.

J: Yeah, see you around.

R: Bye.

She smiled when she saw that Jesse had lived just down the street. The next day, Rachel got dressed and waited for Jesse. He smiled when he saw her. They walked to school together and held hands, Rachel was surprised that Jesse was holding her hand. Could it mean that Jesse had a crush on Rachel? She thought it was impossible to meet someone for the first time and instantly fall in love with them, but it happened to her last night. Jesse showed her around Carmel High, then he had shown her the auditorium. Her smile had grew when she saw the size of the stage.

J: You like it.

R: Yes, I do.

J: I heard you singing last night, you should really make sure that your window is shut all the way BEFORE you start singing. Your voice is incredible, and we're looking for a female lead for vocals.

R: Who?

J: Vocal Adrenaline, your voice is the voice that we could use to help us win every show choir competition. Just step on the stage and sing, that all you gotta do.

A piano had started to play. Rachel let her voice loose, and the two began to sing.
