No beta, we die like buildings in superhero movies
--------------
Kat had never had any hesitation to ask for help with anything, living with the queens has been great.
But this, this little question, scared her.
Kat had always liked Anna, in many ways, they were best friends, they could talk for hours, they had similar interests, with enough differences to still discuss them.
Well, Kat started getting romantically interested in Anna and wanted to date her.
Kat wanted to hold her hand and kiss her, but this is where the problem was.
Kat had no idea on how to kiss her. She didn't know how to lead up to it, she didn't know how to go for it, she didn't know where to put her hands and she didn't who to ask. She knew that those men from centuries ago had made her do all kinds of things, but she also knew none of that was healthy and that her brain had forced herself to forget the details.
Normally, when she had a question, she would ask Anna, Jane, Anne or sometimes Cathy and Catalina.
She'd ask Anna about anything, well, almost anything.
She'd ask Cathy the more logical questions, but even that not all that often, Kat was a bit intimated by her.
Jane was always ready to help with really personal questions when Anna wasn't necessarily fitted for the issue, as Jane was like a motherly figure.
Anne helped her overcome the horrible, horrible memories of men and axes. Anne had always been there to be the goofy older sister role.
And, to be fully honest, Kat had never been really close to Catalina, given they were the one's whose ages were the furthest apart, they weren't able to talk as nicely.
So who on earth would she go to when she needed advice with potential relationships?
Who would she talk to about kissing?
She just decided on asking the first person she'd see and that just happened to be Jane and Anne.
The two were sitting around discussing the biology behind mermaids when Kat walked in.
"Can I, uh, ask one of you something real quick?" Kat uncomfortably requested after a torturously long minute.
Anne got up, "who do you need, Kit?"
"I don't.. I'm not sure, and I don't even know how I'm really going to ask- you know what? I'll just google, sorry to be a bother-" Kat started attempted to leave, but Jane stopped her.
"Wait, Kat," she smiled, "you can ask us anything, you know that, right?"
Kat hesitated, "well, yes, but- I don't know.. It's kinda... I need advice with.."
Jane gave her a sweet look, encouraging her to go on, Anne copied Jane.
"With a girl that I want to date," Kat squeezed her eyes shut, somewhat terrified of their reactions.
On front of Kat, Jane and Anne exchanged confused looks.
"Kat? Girl advice?" Jane asked.
Kat nodded timidly, not opening her eyes yet.
"Kit, I've only had one relationship before and that was.. him," Jane explained calmly.
"And I- Uh- not that much knowledge on relationships either," Anne mumbled, sounding unsure maybe even embarrassed.
