Cathy woke up, not quite knowing what the fuck was going on.
Which wasn't a rare occurrence admittedly.
But this time it was different.
This time she wasn't exactly alone. Nor did she have the shape of her keyboard pressed into her face.
No. There was a stranger there, snoring softly. Or, maybe, in this situation, Cathy was the stranger.
The very first thing she noticed was a strong ache in her neck. Though the realisation that they were both clothed was very relieving.
And she most definitely wasn't at home, the bed was way bigger than hers. And it smelled terrible. Like copper, it strongly smelled like copper.
She tried to move to look at her surroundings, but when trying to place her hand on the mattress to pull herself off, she reached right into long, silky hair.
Slowly, she pulled her hand back and stayed where she was. So there was someone else, in the very same bed, and either this woman, or Cathy, was reeking of blood.
And Cathy had no idea how she even got here in the first place! She tried her best to recall anything about the previous day.
Okay, so, there was something about an argument with Catalina. Probably about Cathy not sleeping again. 'Well that problem's solved,' Cathy thought to herself, 'I must have been out for hours... Fuck what is this pain...'
Then she remembered that she went out to buy RedBull that she wanted to mix with coffee since nothing else would do the job anymore. 'Did I have some heart stuff go wrong again? No, this isn't the hospital..'
And then, with the RedBull in hand, she started her journey home..
Someone approached her, a woman, pale.. dark hair.. a lot of green. Green makeup, green tank top, green sleeves, maybe even green nails, but Cathy's focus was on her face at the time.
They talked, about what, Cathy couldn't remember. At first Cathy was awkward, then the woman took her hand and they walked. There was something in her eyes that almost captured Cathy. Something that dumbfounded Cathy, that made her forget where she was going.
And now Cathy was laying practically on top of presumably this stranger.
Her head hurt, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember what happened next.
Her neck hurt more than the head though. It hurt a lot. Like, really a lot...
She put her hand on her neck and felt crumbling, slightly disgusted, but also intrigued, she looked at what was at under her fingernail. Dried blood, great.
Okay, so that explained the stench.
But wHY THE HELL WAS SHE BLEEDING FROM HER NECK?!
Understandably, Cathy freaked out, getting up without thinking about whether or not she was disturbing the other person present.
"Wha-" the woman shot up in bed, Cathy could now see the dried blood all over half her face and let out a scream.
The woman put a hand over her mouth to muffle the noise, "calm down, Sleeping Beauty. I was gonna bring you home, but you just fell asleep on me."
