I am writing something trite and I'm not even ashamed about it anymore, at least it's new territory

The all dreaded Coffee shop AU because it's Cathy

Cathy wasn't really one to get excited about new places opening in her area, but this was a kind of different thing. Catalina had read about a new, family business coffee shop opening up just down the road, best part, it was attached to a brand new book shop that Cathy has wanted to check out for ages. But she hadn't found a particular reason to go there.

Now however, it was like she unlocked a new writing space with endless coffee supplies. Right the day after Catalina told her about this place, she gathered all of her stuff that she'd need.

She tried to keep a calm face while walking through the door, yet when she saw just how effervescent the workers were, she couldn't help a small smile.

One of the women leaning on the counter, beamed when she saw Cathy, "hi!" she greeted with a wave, "you're our first customer today!"

Cathy found herself adoring the other's comfortable vibe as she walked up to her to order.

"Oh, that's nice!" Cathy put her bag down at a table close to a totally not specific bookshelf and then returned to the display of drinks.

The woman with the name tag 'Anne B' shooed the one with 'Kat H' away and straightened her back, "so, what can I get you?"

Cathy took a long breath, eyes skimming over all of the different options, "not sure, would you just do a drink you enjoy making? Or is that a weird request?"

Anne giggled, "it's alright, could I get a name? Never know when a group of young teens skipping school marches in," it likely was meant as a joke, but there was a seriousness deep in Anne's voice.

"Of course, I'm Cathy," she did her best to not sound awkward saying that.

The other person, Kat, glanced at Anne, who also looked like she was conniving something, "got it. Go ahead and make yourself at home! I'll bring you your coffee in just a second."

--------------

Anne walked over to Cathy carefully balancing a hilariously small tray with a close to overflowing cup of a very blue drink. "Here you go.." Anne started, then grinned cheekily, "Cloey."

The tone Anne had used was perfectly polite and elegant, so obviously it was a sort of show. Cathy laughed, feeling even more comfortable with the environment now, she really liked how much fun Anne could spread this early in the morning.

Anne was secretly relieved that Cathy didn't suddenly turn to yell at her for not remembering her name as it had happened many times considering they've only been open for a week.

The day was nice, Cathy spent around two thirds of her time here writing, and the rest was a mix of looking at Anne work with multiple customers simultaneously and ordering new coffee herself.

(That happened to be the blue one that she got first because it was the best taste she had ever experienced. She would give up memories her last boyfriends entirely for more sight of that beautiful, stunning- drink. Yes, the drink.)
