running high pt.2

lorraine's pov:

i get finished brushing my teeth and walk out to per holding out a mug of tea. i take the mug from his hand and sit down next to sophie as i take a sip

"when are jutty and hayden supposed to get to hershey?" i ask her "they should be there a little after us, so around 11?" she guesses and i nod my head "i wrote a song last night" i tell everyone as i bring up the lyrics i typed down in my phone last night.

tobias looks from my phone to me "by all means take my songwriting job-" "oh hell no!" i laugh and chris hands me my phone, i pass it to sophie and she looks at me excitedly "this is so cool!" she gives my phone back

"since i can't sing it why not write it" i shrug my shoulders and take the last sip of my tea. i excuse myself and get ready for the day, as i grab my makeup bag from out of my bunk cubby the door quietly shuts behind sophie.

she gets up on my bunk and goes the through some of my makeup "are you okay?" she asks and i nod my head "i'm gonna be okay" i whisper still not wanting to strain my voice "per is worried about you" she says quietly with a smile and i nod my head

"we had a talk last night, i'm not going to fall apart.. i don't think" i joke but settle her worries and she nudges me before leaving my bunk. i grab a pair of my black shorts and a long sleeved shirt to wear for the day, i quickly get dressed and feel the bus come to a stop.

per walks in and starts grabbing some of his bags "you okay?" he asks as he puts his hair in a low bun "yeah i'm just- i want my voice back" i simply state as i grab my backpack and walk off the bus.

chris follows behind me and throws an arm over my shoulder as we walk to the hotel. we check in for everyone under a fake name like usual, chris and i were the first ones to get in the elevator and go up to our floor

"we have to do soundcheck around 1, are you going?" he asks and i nod my head quickly "of course i'm going, i'll see you later" i tell him as i use my key card and open the door to my room.

it wasn't long before i was laying in the hotel bed and scrolling on my phone, maybe i shouldn't go to sound check. it would be like dangling a carrot in front of my nose. my phone rings showing jutty's contact i answer it

"are you coming or not?" he asks and i sigh "i might be there later if not i'll definitely be at the show, no doubt about that" i tell him as i look out the window from the room "alright, you sound better!" he tells me and i smile a bit

"yeah i don't sound like a smoker anymore" i laugh slightly "okay go do sound check, i'll see you later" i tell him and quickly hang up. i needed to be there with the band, even if i couldn't perform they need me there.

i grab the black jacket per gave to me from my backpack and throw it on. i put my phone in my back pocket along with some cash, my pass for the venue, and make my way down to the lobby.

the venue was only a couple of blocks from the hotel so i grab a quick coffee from a small shop and make my way to the venue. i get through security and make my way to the stage where i already hear music coming from.

everyone was too occupied, they didn't see me resting on the barricade in the pit "lorraine!" cosmo points and i wave at everyone. per takes his in ear piece out and smiles at me from the stage "almost done here and we're going to go out for drinks before the show, you coming?" chris asks me.

i give him a thumbs up "i'm gonna go take a walk around, i'll meet you guys up front" i say and start exploring the venue. some of the food carts were already setting up for tonights show along with the venders that sell alcohol too.

i pull out my phone and look back at the lyrics i wrote for the song i showed everyone, there wasn't really a title for it but it needed a melody. as i walk around the venue i start to hum out possible melodies for it
