"My God, he's perfect for you! He even said my red hair looks cool—no straight man has ever said that to me!" Cherry exclaimed, practically skipping his way down the sidewalk. They had just finished what amounted to an interview for Alex as Lily's new boyfriend, and it seemed they both approved.

Since leaving Red Lobster, Alex had said he had an important meeting to attend, which Lily figured was probably some angel business he'd tell her about later. Lily walked between her two friends as they headed to a nearby bar. It was pretty dark outside at this point, but they figured it would be okay because it was all three of them.

"I'm personally just happy I finally have someone to have couple dinners with, and I just know him and Thomas will get along fabulously," Emily clapped her hands excitedly. Cherry looked over at Emily. "Oh, Emily, that's simply darling for you and Thomas. But for me..." he said, rubbing his hands over his body, making Lily slightly grin. "Baby, no one can tame all this! Though many have tried." All of them shared a laugh. They didn't even notice the group of four men following close behind them.

The group walked a little closer. Lily noticed the heavy footsteps and glanced behind them as her friends continued to talk amongst themselves. One of the men winked at her, his friends laughing beside him. Lily immediately looked back forward, grabbing her friends' hands, making them walk faster.
"Woah, woah, Speedy Gonzales! What's the rush?" Emily said, completely unaware of the danger.

"We need to go now. I have a bad feeling about those four guys behind us... I think they may be following us," Lily whispered, her voice tight. As they picked up their pace, the men behind them also quickened theirs, only confirming Lily's suspicion. Lily's life had been so crazy lately with demons, fairies, and angels; she hadn't thought about the everyday danger of walking at night.

"Mmm, I never had thick chocolate before," one of the biggest men in the group behind them said, not even trying to hide the fact he was talking about Lily.
Emily's eyes widened, looking over at Lily. She felt her parental instincts kick in, grabbing both her friends' hands tightly before fully sprinting down the sidewalk, pulling them along. The men chased after them, yelling, "Get them! Grab them!" one of the men grabbed Emily's long red locks, pulling her back. She let out a pained sound, and the tight grip she had on her friends' hands was ripped away.

Cherry immediately turned around, running after them as the men dragged a struggling Emily into an alleyway. Why did it always have to be a damn alleyway? Lily thought as she quickly followed "Let her go, you bastard!" Cherry yelled, his face turning red with fury. Lily had never seen him this mad before. He punched the man holding Emily directly in the face. The man groaned, clutching his nose. His friends laughed at him.

"You really let the fruity one land a punch on you, Don?" one of the men sneered before grabbing Emily again, throwing her against Cherry, making them both slam into a wall and then onto the ground.

Lily tried to make her way over to them, but one of the men grabbed onto both of her arms, holding her in place. The biggest one walked over, holding onto her chin with dirty fingers. "You wanna have a good time, baby girl?" he whispered.

She yanked her face away from his disgusting touch. "Not in your fucking lifetime!" she hissed, trying to kick him. The man holding her laughed at her attempt "Ooh, what a bad girl. Maybe I need to teach you a lesson not to talk to me like that." He moved a dirty, fat finger against her cheek before turning towards her friends.

"Leave them alone!" she yelled as he and the other man began to circle Cherry and Emily. Cherry held Emily tightly, who was crying into his chest. The big one delivered a brutal punch to Cherry's face, making blood drip from his lip. The other man pulled Emily out of Cherry's arms, throwing her hard to the ground and climbing over her.

Lily watched in horror, tears rolling down her face. She felt so helpless. The big man kicked Cherry hard in the side, making him groan. "You fucking asshole! If you kill me, I hope your dick falls off!" Cherry spat blood onto the man's shoes. It only made the man madder; he kicked Cherry hard in the head. Lily screamed as Cherry's eyes closed, his body going limp.

She heard a ripping sound, seeing the man over Emily tearing into the front of her dress. "Let her go! Let her fucking go! Don't touch her!" Lily felt her whole body heating up. Her skin felt like it was about to burst into flames. The necklace around her neck slightly burned her skin. She was so frustrated and angry; the thought of her best friends being harmed right in front of her... she couldn't take it "Or what?" the man over Emily said wickedly, his hand moving to undo Emily's bra.

Lily's eyes squeezed tightly. As she opened them, they were bright red, glowing with an unearthly light. "Or this." A deep voice, nothing like her own, seemed to echo in the small alley. All heads turned to her in shock as she easily ripped her arms out of the man's grip as if it were nothing. Her blazing red eyes stared right into his soul.
"What the hell are you?!" one of them stammered as she suddenly lunged, picking him up effortlessly. He yelled for mercy, his friends watching, too scared to move.

Lily threw his body against the hard brick wall. They all heard the sickening snapping noise as his body lay lifeless on the ground. The other men yelled, looking at the corpse.
"I'm fucking out of here!" The man who had been beating on Cherry tried to run out of the alleyway.
"Not so fast." Lily held up her hand. Red-hot magma shot out, landing on his body. He screamed in agony as he fell to the ground, dead. A chilling grin spread on her lips as she turned her blazing sights on the biggest man. To her, he looked like a scared baby right now; he didn't look so tough.

"Ready for a good time?" she asked, walking toward him slowly.
"Please don't kill me!" Now he was the one begging her for mercy. Too bad for him, she wasn't feeling very giving.
"You like to punch people, huh? How's this for a punch!?" she yelled, pulling her fist back with all the force she possessed. She punched him hard across the face, hearing his bones cracking and leaving blood on her fist as he fell like a rock.

The last living one tried to run. She pulled her heel off her foot, throwing it hard. It spun as it landed in the side of his neck. He fell to the ground. She walked over to the dead body, pulled out the heel, and put it back on her foot.
Suddenly feeling more like herself, her eyes changed back to their normal brown. She ran over to her friends. Emily was passed out. Lily put her shaky, bloody fingers to Cherry's neck, feeling a soft pulse. She let out a ragged sigh, looking around at the four dead bodies all around her. The reality finally hit her.

"Wh-what have I just done?"
