It was a typical Saturday night, you doing your sketches and Kokichi just hovering over your shoulder watching - had it been anyone else, it would've made you uncomfortable. However, since he'd been doing it since he found out your Ultimate Talent from some quick doxxing, you'd grown used to it. People called you insane for moving in with him, but you didn't really have anywhere else to go - call it being a starving artist, whatever. Kokichi had been begging you to draw him for months, but you'd always refused. He couldn't sit still at all, so even attempting a drawing would be fruitless.

You gazed out of the window, to see dark clouds rolling in: it's supposed to be thunder tonight, and you already knew what that meant. You put down your drawing pad and pencils, bracing yourself for the first crash of thunder.

"(Y/N)-Chan? Why are y— aaaaagh!" He darted away from your shoulder and leapt over the sofa to sit next to you as the thunder hit. He grabbed a blanket and hid inside it, while you sat there and watched: this was the fifth time this month. You held Kokichi in your arms, as he was rocking back and forth trying to block out the sounds. Ever since you'd started going out, his fear of thunder was obvious - on the second date, it had been thundering... it took forever to get him out of the cupboard.

Soon after the thunder, a flash of lightning illuminated the room, coating everything in a sheet of white. It caused Kokichi to look up, as he saw your face looking out of the window.

"Kokichi? Why are you scared of thunder? I mean, I know it's common, but of all things, thunder?"

"I'm not scared! I just wanted to sit with you!"

"Really?"

"Alright fine - that was a lie! You got me... But I did want to sit with you, if that counts for anything. I— I don't know why I'm scared of it, okay? I just am! Isn't that enough?"

He started off a little playful but grew agitated; maybe it was best not to pry further. Another crash of thunder rumbled, jumpstarting his heart: you could feel it beating against you, he was holding you so close. For anybody that knew Kokichi well enough to know his astraphobia, they often made fun of him or comparing him to a dog around fireworks. True, he was like this around fireworks too, but that was besides the point. Soon the thunder passed, and Kokichi let go of his grip a little. He was still tense, and hadn't yet fully calmed down - it was difficult to do, since he could easily just lie to your face that he was fine. You tried to think of ways to actually calm him, until your mind settled on one thing...

"You know what? I'll give it a go - you've been asking me to draw you for so long."

So he sat and t to you properly and just watched your pencil glide across the page, his focus on the thunder now shifted to your drawing. Usually you only did base sketches in this book, but you poured your heart onto the page for this one, knowing it was for Kokichi. As his girlfriend, you knew what he was really like, and wanted to portray that. When you were done, you flipped it to show Kokichi properly, and he smiled brightly.

"That's actually pretty good! Buuut I do have one thing to ask~~ Why did you make me look so..... cutesy?"

You thought about holding back, biting your tongue to stop yourself from saying something you knew could piss him off... but then you looked into his sparkling purple eyes and thought fuck it.

"Because you are, Kokichi! You're my little Panta boy~~"

He gave you a critical look, which soon transformed into a small smile, then a laugh. It was times like this that really made you happy, to see Kokichi smiling... It was really beautiful. Someone so outcast, who everyone thought was a bad guy, to be so relaxed and excitable around you. You put down your sketching things again, and grabbed some blankets - you curled up in the corner sofa with him, and just talked for the rest of the night, before falling asleep together to the sound of passing thunder.
