Days, weeks, and months passed, and soon, the semester came to an end. Students were either traveling home or making vacation plans, eager for a well-deserved break.

Winter was fast approaching, and the cold breeze in the early mornings signaled the change in season. The holiday break was one of the most anticipated long-term rests of the year—except, of course, for most graduating students who were stuck completing their final thesis.

"Take care, you two." Danielle wrapped her arms around Chenle and Renjun, squeezing them tightly before pulling away.

"You should come with us sometime," Chenle suggested with a grin.

"Bold of you to invite Elle when we can't even visit each other's places, and we live in the same country!" Renjun playfully smacked Chenle's arm.

"Hey, what about me?" Haechan whined, running toward them with his arms wide open.

The trio immediately shoved him away, laughing as he dramatically stumbled back.

What started as a heartfelt farewell soon turned into another loud and unnecessary bickering session—classic.

Meanwhile, the alphas stood a little farther away, engaged in their own conversation. Unlike the others, their discussion was quieter and far more composed. That was, until the commotion grew so loud that they momentarily thought something serious had happened. Upon realizing it was just their usual antics, they burst into laughter.

"Mom's here; we should go. Happy Holidays, people!" Chenle beamed, waving enthusiastically as his family's car pulled up.

Everyone exchanged farewells, helping the duo with their bags before they finally departed.

"Where should we go, hmm?" Mark murmured as he approached Danielle, pressing a soft kiss to her temple.

The omega instinctively leaned into him, his strong arm wrapping around her waist with ease.

"I don't know; it's still early for dinner. What about the guys?" she asked.

"They're heading home too. Giselle's staying with Yuta for the holidays."

"Oh, so that leaves me and Haechan."

"Haechan?"

"Yeah, he's staying with us this holiday. Family issues," she explained.

Mark hummed in understanding. "Well, he can ride with us if he wants."

"Where?"

Mark smiled. "Your house, of course, pretty girl. I'll be staying over—can I?"

Danielle rolled her eyes but leaned up to peck his lips.

Without another word, she walked over to where Haechan stood, and Mark remained in place, watching her intently.

"If your stares had powers, she would melt, Mark," Jeno teased as he approached.

Mark chuckled. "Can't help it."

Jeno smirked, observing his friend for a moment before speaking again. "You love her so much, don't you?"

Mark's lips curled into a fond smile. "Yeah. I still can't believe she's my mate. Isn't she beautiful, Jen?"
